Hi !
I’ can’t access to the files located in the Media Library from a “new file” page in Download Manager. There is no file tree.I’ve developped a web site on a test sub-domain (test.mysite.com) and then transfered it to another subdomain (new.mysite.com). I tried to migrate with Duplicator, but had issues to install the database, while the FTP files seem to have been correctelly transfered (?). So, I kept the test database and give the new web site the old database connection informations in wp-config.php (db name, user, pw) and modified the content of the old database with the new sub-domain informations.
The new web site works well, but I have one problem: the block with the manager (file tree ?) to access to the files located in the Media Library is a blank block (see attached). jqueryFileTree.js is correctelly located in wp-content/plugins/download-manager/assets/js/…
I’ve searched the database to see if there is any link to the “old” sub-domain left. I’ve deactivated Download Manager and reactivated it. I’ve uninstalled it and reinstalled it from the WP extensions backend (btw, the old files created before were still there after that). I’ve reinstalled a brand new Download Manager (downloaded from the official WPDM site) via FTP. I’ve checked that jqueryFileTree.js is correctelly located in wp-content/plugins/download-manager/assets/js/. My AdBlocker is deactivated on this site.
I still have no access to the Media Library.
Any idea where that can come from ? and how to solve it ?

Hi,
The frontend upload issue is coming from your theme. The theme is making the buttons unresponsive. Maybe they have added some kind of JS which is removing attached button events. Please ask your theme provider to check the issue.
The login page issue also coming from the theme. It is adding an extra field ( email id ) to the form.
Both of these issues were gone when I switched to another theme temporarily.

You can get the download link from All Downloads page and attach it with inline words. Each package has a Generate Download Link button. Retrieve the master download link from there.

Hello,
I have a very weird issue, and I cannot find where the problem is. Here it goes : I have build a website for clients with documents. Until today (as far as I can tell), everything was dandy. But, suddenly (I’m not too sure of when it happened), I cannot see the individual packages, except for four of them.
And for these ones, everything works : the custom templates, etc, etc. They are all in the same category, and are all pdfs.
But other documents, also pdfs, and simple pictures (png), heavier and lighter in weight, just give out a blank page… And Wp Debug doesn’t say anything. The packages have exactly the same configuration in terms of templates, who can see them, etc.
Even weirder, I can download everything fine with the link templates… It’s only when I want to see the single package page that… nothing happens.
And as far as I can tell, nothing I’ve done justify such a change.I’ve also tried adding new packages : I cannot see anything, event though the link template work perfectly (downloads also), whatever category I try to put them in.
It’s so weird that the only way I think for you to realize what happens it to go take a look… Could you please ? I’m at my wit’s end. I’ll give you the info in private.

Hi,
Maybe your access setting is set to hide everything when the user does not have access to downloads.

Setting it to only block download link should fix the issue.
Another approach is explicitly setting category access to user roles from category settings.
Let me know if you can’t fix the issue by following the approached discussed above.

Hi,
Looks like you have renamed the
/uploads/download-manager-files/dir after uploading files. So, the links to the files are broken now. That’s why it is showing file-not-found.txt error.The unresponsive button issue in this page https://greatthingsgrowhere.co.nz/brand-champions/logo-suite/gtgh-chinese-logo-suite/ related to a JS conflict. Will it be okay if I temporarily deactivate other plugins or switch themes for testing purpose. The test is required to find the conflict.

Is there any way to hard code a direct download link other than the shortcode? I need this link for e commerce section of our website and need to be able to add it into the html as a hyper link.
example: Download Machine Specs is what I am using and even though the template is the direct download link it still doesn’t display that way.
I saw an article about adding the id instead of package title but couldn’t get it to work.
Cant’ find this anywhere in the documentation.

Hi, have noticed today that the ‘download’ links on each of the download items on the front of our website are not working anymore.
Can confirm that we’re logged in as users with download access and the website hasn’t had any updates or changes. No errors in the inspector console either. Will follow this message with a private reply with login details. Hoping you can help. Cheers

Hi,
on our website hattha-thaispa.ch we have a link called “Request a call back”, if I deactivate wpdownloadmanager everthing works fine mean a pop-up appears with a form where customer can fillout the form, if I reactivate wpdownloadmanager the link is not functional anymore, means if you click on this link nothing happens. The problem is reproducable any time. Now wpdownloadmanager is activated.
Do you have an idea what could cause this problem?

Yes, it is possible to use an inline form instead of the modal. You can use the Extend Page Template for that. Or just create a custom link/page template with the

It looks like the custom template ID you are using there is somehow deleted. You need to select/use different link template.

Hello,
I’ve installed the Download Manager Free version.
Purpose is very simple, give the ability to visitors to download a file with a specific password.However, it’s impossible to doanwload the file, no password is requested.
The only thing happening is a “link-expired.txt” file downloaded.Any reason for that ?
What can I do to solve this ?Thanks in advance.
