Download Limit Exceeded

Upon order receipt/confirmation received after purchase, when the customer clicks on download, they are unable to. The download link returns the error “download limit exceeded”. I had a previous error with the “generate license” key (on the order confirmation page) missing from the column. That has been resolved, however clicking on the license key doesn’t appear to do anything. Either clicking on it or not clicking on it before clicking “download” results in the same error as mentioned. I don’t have a screen shot, as these were test-purchased by emails I don’t currently have access to. My “license settings”, under DL Manager Settings has the limit set to 1, currently, but I’ve also set it to 99 and still get the same result – “download limit exceeded”. Please advise! I’ve watched the only video tut I could find and my settings all seem to be similar. Thank you!
