The following shortcode was working prior to updating my website to WP 5.5. Now nothing is output.
[wpdm_tree category=”product-information” download_link=”1″ orderby=”title” order=”asc”]
Is there something I need to do to allow this to continue working as it has in the past? Other shortcodes appear to be working as expected.

thank you for your really quick help. I’m very happy, that now all works fine. Can you please inform me, why the download links became masked? The system runs without any problems until the error appears.
And please inform me, how I can unmask downloads in case that this will happen again.

I have external files that I want to give users access to (they are public files on 2 of my organization’s domains). I added the the link, which shows up correctly in the attached files section but the download button doesn’t seem to use this link… so it doesn’t work. What else am I supposed to do? Or do I have no choice but to host them somewhere else such as the WP server (which is totally inefficient in my case)?
I’m also having problems getting a custom template to work as indicated in the documentation. [thumb_200x300] does not give me the thumbnail (file not found is what I get) and I cannot get the title to disappear with this shortcode (the documentation says it should not appear if left out, but that’s not the case):

This is my second try with the plugin (I paid for the pro version and deactivated for 6 months because I got really frustrated with it). I find it hard to figure out where to go in the documentation. The demo site doesn’t tell you which shortcodes are used so you have to go back and forth if you’re not familiar with the functionalities. Perhaps it’s ok for developers but overall not user friendly for someone relying on plugins to avoid coding.

We noticed that the downloads no longer work. Unfortunately, nothing happens when you click on a download link.
I’ve updated to the latest version. I’ve also already changed the theme. But it wasn’t that. Nothing happened here either.
Can you help me please? What more information do you need?

I have a whitepaper and want to capture username and email before someone downloads the paper. When they click download, the window pops up like it is supposed to so they can input username and email. I have the option set to download immediately upon them hitting enter. When they do it gives the error invalid download link. No user is added. When I click off the form lock feature, the error goes away, but I don’t get name or email, either.
I have the same problem. I have the pro version- a window pops up for name and email- then the link provided (option set to automatically download) returns invalid download link

- all formatted buttons are links only
- the search field disappeared
- no pagination (all dwonloads on one page)
- all icons disappeared
Because the download area is an important part of our intranet we need a solution for these issues as soon as possible.

HarryThe download button does not work on the first page of files but pages two through the end work just fine. The download button on the first page is not the normal button as it is a simple text link.

Is there any way to remove some of the fields on the form?
We do not want some of the fields on the form at all, like File Count, Author, Create Date, About this Author. We are not using this as a BLOG. We are using this for customers to download software via the E-Mail Lock feature.
Or:
We would prefer a link directly to the DOWNLOAD button… is that possible?So, for example a user would click: Download link on another page and the function would be to BYPASS the Download Manager form entirely and just perform the Download with the E-Mail Lock feature.
We are also experiencing the same issue as this: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/file-cart-package-list-issues/#post-134238 with the File Cart plugin not working but was asked to create a new ticket. We first noticed that the directory shortcode was no longer working so we went to update the plugin and it failed to update. In order to update, we had to disable and delete the plugin and reupload the plugins for the Download Manager and the file cart add on and directory add on. This seems to have fixed the directory shortcode but now the email option through the file cart add-on isn’t working. We noticed under the settings, the email download link was no longer checked. By checking that box the email field appeared but now upon testing, the files don’t get sent to the email address you type in. We did get an email with the files sent to our admin email instead. This needs to be corrected ASAP. Do you have an update on this issue?

I just paid for pro to get the expanded/custom link templates, in WP I see that my downloads now has orders etc. but I don’t know how to get it to recognize pro for templates. I tried adding in License Manager but it won’t take.

The login details are in the other thread Nayeem, the one about the category template etc.
PLEASE don’t alter anything on the categories, I’ve got it set up as I need to now. If you login, you’ll see that when you go to choose a custom link template for a category the card horizontal and card vertical options aren’t there any more. They’re both in my theme directory as well as in the download manager template directories. So not sure why they’re not showing. I’ve solved it by cloning a link template, and have set all my categories link templates to my cloned template. That is working, but as I said I am worried that if another upgrade comes along all my categories are going to be reset to the default link template. Changing them all manually again is no fun.

Honestly…
Spent all evening customising the card-horizontal template, adding it to my theme/download-manager/link-template folder then going through every single category and choosing this for the output.
Everything looked exactly how I wanted it all the categories looked great. Thumbnail, title, descriptions, file info, tags etc.
But just now, they’ve all been reset to default link template and the card-horizontal template isn’t even selectable?? When I try to choose it from editing a category.
I checked.. it was there in my theme folder etc, and it’s there in the tpls folder of WPDM.
Thinking might be a problem because I have it in my theme folder, I renamed it. Still didn’t appear as selectable, so I overwrote the WPDM versions of it in both folders. It’s still not selectable when editing the custom category settings.
I had it looking perfect.. now I just have a basic list of files…. what’s happened???

Enable archive page from from settings, that will add “Downloads” archive link with your breadcrumb.

I did do it indeed, one step ahead ! 🙂 Thanks for all your help with this Shahjada .. somehow in all of this the breadcrumbs (am using plugins for permalinks and yoast) have lost their download part ie they say home > scripts > script category > script name.. and am missing the home > downloads > scripts > script category > script name.. I mentioned this in another post. Was almost there with a full solution..

Yes, if you do not use the
[file_list]template tag, the zipped file should work. but if you use then, there you will see the individual download link.for #2, please give your related package, if possible, Please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.

We’re using WPDM for the software download area on our website, I created several downloads and added the shortcodes to a page in wordpress. Worked great!
Now I had to move the full installation to a new server. I copied the full database and the full wordpress folder to the new server, I changed some settings and the site is working.
Problem: I can’t download my files. I see ‘0 File(s)’ and the download link does not work.
I found the entry for the file in the wp_postmeta table, I changed the value for meta_key=__wpdm_files to the correct value
Example:'a:1:{i:0;s:39:\"wp-content/uploads/files/version_7_0/doc/jd_qs_d.pdf\";}' Still doesn't work. I assigned the file again in the backend - download is working now, but the postmeta path has the same value as before:‘a:1:{i:0;s:52:\”wp-content/uploads/files/version_7_0/doc/jd_qs_d.pdf\”;}’
Question now: Why does the download not work before I reassigned the file? Path is correct, the must be another value, but I don’t see it.

for days I have been experiencing this bug on WpBakery: the wpdmpro plugin modifies all block of text on the page so that the “single page” to download a file becomes unmanageable (all blocks of text become the download template). I have checked everywhere but I can’t fix this bug.
This error also appeared on the login page if I linked it to the login redirection setting (removing the page in the settings did not show the error).
Also by “default” the pages of the single downloads refer to the “standard template of the articles / posts”. How can I change this setting?Thanks so much
