At the link you posted (https://so-arbeitet-deutschland.com/download/whitepaper-gesundheit-arbeitszeit-leistungsdruck) it does not work for us, tested on multiple devices and browsers: once you enter the data you receive a message saying that the data were collected, but no download starts and you have again the window to insert data with blank fields.
The same happens for all other downloads managed by WP Download Manager.
Please let me know.
Hello Nayeem, thanks for coming back to me. I have checked the documentation and it doesn’t help with my issue. I need WPDM to provide the package id that can be used in the redirect url we provide to the login page. I.E. we want the redirect URL to include ‘wpdmdl=9607’. Where ‘9607’ is the package id.
On the plugins setting page we are using the following code for the ‘Login Required Message’:
<a href="/login/?action=mepr_unauthorized&redirect_to=[this_url]">DOWNLOAD NOW</a>This is working fine for redirecting back to the page after login, but requires the user to click the link again to download.
If we could append the package id (wpdmdl=9607) to our ‘redirect_to’ querystring, this would redirect the user back to the page and start/display the download.
Is this possible, thanks.
Hello, I am hoping someone can provide some advice or point me in the correct direction.
Here is our setup:
We have a website that provides protected downloads to its members (the site is already using MemberPress for user registration/login etc.)
When a visitor comes to the site and navigates around, they will come across some download links to protected content (protected using WPDM with the link/button provided by the wpdm shortcode – using the link-template-button).
We are using the ‘Login Required Message’ to replace the download button with a button that takes the user to our existing login page (if they are not already logged in).
The Issue:
The login page requires a ‘redirect_to’ querystring to be provided to it, which is used to redirect the user after successful login. We are able to populate the ‘redirect_to’ using ‘[this_url]’ (this takes the user back to the page containing the protected download, but they have to click the button again to start the download). Ideally we would like the ‘redirect_to’ querystring to be populated with the link that takes the user directly to the file they want to download. Is this possible and if so, how?We have identified that if we append the following querystring manually: ‘wpdmdl=1234’ we are able to get the download to start.
I am hoping this is possible and someone is able to help.

Please tell me, how to use URL-Parameter like https://my-url/downloads/?category=cat_slug to auto pre-select an single category and its downloads. If I use the parameter >category=cat_slug< within the above line, it sure will pre-select the category but will NOT pre-select the correspondending drop-down-fields and for my users it is not clear what they are looking at because the formfield for category only tell “please select”.

– and I’ve set the lock permissions to “Must agree to Ts and Cs” – but it just goes to a https://www.tbsequel.org/download/interviewer-aid-pptx/#unlock link – which bounces the user through to the front page?
Am I missing a step here?

We’ve got the error message “Download Error File Not Found!” but not for all download links. This error appears only for the link packaging multiple files, the link to each file works.
The links worked before, the problems appeared recently.Thanks for your answer.

Ok, I finally figured out how to explain it by talking to another one of our new guys. If you click on just the download button it does it correctly. But MOST of our people are, for whatever reason, click on the name so the link jumps you to the second page with all the download information such as when it was last updated and all that jazz and then you can download it. Is there a way to not have THAT jump? Is there a way so that when they click on the name it just downloads? Does that makes sense? I wish there was a way I could screen record and show you. Sorry I’m being so confusing!

A number of my PDF file downloads have broken for unlogged-in users. Trying to re-link them to GoogleDrive yields the same results. Yet, other PDFs are just fine. If I’m logged in as the admin, no problem.

1) I was wondering if it possible to hide a embedded or youtube video link behind email lock/form where upon entering email and other information user is redirected to another page with embedded video or redirected to youtube.
If this is possible will the clicks be recorded in stats?2) For lazy addon, are the clicks to download button and redirects recorded in stats as well?

Hi there,
I hope you are doing great. We are having an issue with previewing the file attached to a package in draft mode. Here is what we are doing,
- Create a download manage package, attach a pdf file and save as draft.
- Go to preview the package and click on the file download link
The page is displaying the following error instead of opening the pdf document.
“Package is not available!”
Kindly revert back as soon as possible.
