It doesn’t make any sense that the importer doesn’t work with the built in exporter. I’ve attempted to export the data as an xml file and import it into the native WordPress importer, but that just gives me this error:

Sorry, there has been an error.
This does not appear to be a WXR file, missing/invalid WXR version number

I’m taking the data from the export file and reformatting it to match the sample csv file. My worry with this system is that the links appear to use a post id for downloads ex. /?wpdmdl=13025. The importer doesn’t seem to have a way for me to assign an identifier, it just gives me an ID column if I would like to update an existing post. In my case my new website has other post types that already occupy some of these IDs. Is there a way to migrate these files/data and keep the /?wpdmdl=someid links in my content working under these circumstances?

WHen providing code, please also tell me how to change the email content the customer gets because you’re also telling them to login there too.

Let’s stop trying things that dont work, and use code to completely disable login. I also need to modify the email how do I do that and why dont you just give them a download link in the email?

Nayeem, I set up two staging sites for you yesterday, provided you with their URLS information to access them above ( in a private post https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/no-preview-available/#post-200756), along with the results of the testing I did and asked you to investigate what is wrong with both of them.

I suggest beginning with the North American one (as labelled in the post linked above) using the pro version of the plugin. I hope you can go in and troubleshoot these without delay. The client is quite concerned, and they have worked fine and displayed fine till recently so the change might be due to a plugin update.

To clarify, I have already done the basic test of disabling all the plugins and changed the theme to twentytwentyfour on both of the staging copies I made for you, with no change, so you can rule out a plugin or theme conflict. If someone more senior is needed to go beyond that, can you please escalate this support request asap? Please go ahead on those test sites.

Problems:

1. THE CUSTMOER HAS NO MESSAGE TO INDICATE THEY HAVE AN EMAIL

2. THE EMAIL LINKS GO TO WEBSITE AND PRODUCT PAGE, NONE OF THEM HELP THE CUSTOMER DOWNLOAD THE PRODUCT.

3. AGAIN, IT SAYS IN THE EMAIL CLICK HERE TO LOGIN.

Both the app, and the eamil are asking them to login. My website has NO LOGIN for customers. How do I stop all these login requests?

If I check this link and I am logged in as an Admin, I can see the order and download page, and everything looks fine.

If I am not logged in, it asks me to login: https://tinyurl.com/2xu2uno7

Why is that happening if I have selected check out as guest? I can see 100% that the problem here is the Guest checkout options are not working.

That certainly sounds like a glitch, even if a temporary one. We downloaded the exact same file and installed from my “download area” several times, and it did not work. When I purchased, the payment hung up and did not give me a confirmation screen. I had to close out… A few minutes later, I got an email with the order info. I created an account and logged in using that same email hoping something was there and nothing was there. I had to click in from the email to re-create the account from the email in order to see anything in downloads appear at all. Every time we downloaded and installed the plugin and clicked “activate” we got a “fatal error.” The frustration was that we tried this all afternoon and needed to get our clients data migrated… after the plugin failed to activate many times, we had to give up. I spent 2+ hours changing 310 records manually, converting them from our clients old website wpdmdl reference links in their data to the authentic URL links. Now, magically the plugin works, and we no longer need the plugin. Can you understand my frustration?

Another note, the user is being asked for an Order ID in the shortcode page. When is this given to the customer? It was not shown in any of the order tests, I did not see the Order ID, no email was received either to show this.

This would all be much easier of they just get a link to download in the payment completion message or a popup.

Is there something else that needs to be changed in settings because after following your instructions there was no changes, the problem was still the same.

Your first screenshot shows “Guest Download Page” selected. This page does not exist in my list of selectable pages. Did you make the page manually? If so please include a screenshot for adding the downloadable file etc.

I can add the Thank You page here. But then I need to add a download link to the file, on that page. And it then becomes a public page with a link to the product for free. Anyone can share the product for free. This isnt a viable pay to download option.

This is a WP Download Manager system generated Archive page, how do I change its name? Again, if you look at the 2nd image, the link shows .products in the link, but the page is called “Downloads.” This is also on the Demo page on this website.
