Hi,

After this update ( 3.1.17 or 5.3.7 ), you may face the following 2 issues:
- Upload is not working
- Showing “Invalid File Type” error when trying to download
Here is the reason and solution:

From WPDM Free 3.1.20 and WPDM Pro 5.3.7, we have changed the file type validation process during file upload and download. Now, you have to white file types to allow them to upload or download. You will find the option at Admin Menu ► Downloads ► Settings ► Basic Settings Tab ► Upload Settings section.

Please add file types ( texts, multiple texts separated by a comma ) as shown on the marked image. And then save settings. The shall resolve the issue.

or, Just Keep it Empty for WordPress default use as I image attached

thus it may resolve the issue

I can’t access my downloads to be able to adjust them. Is there a way to access them without getting that error?

Hi,

For active license, you may check your user account, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases and for setup license key you may check this doc, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/installing-wordpress-download-manager-pro/ and For updating you may simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, which will regenerate the access token. Finally, go to the plugins page and the update will work fine this time and for your 3rd problem can you please elaborate more on your issue, please

I had the line blank as suggested and it still gave me the error. When I manually entered the file extensions all my downloads started to work again.

Hi, i have a problem with downloads, at first i think only happen to my user but now i see others users has the same issue.
When i upload a file, i can not donwloads my same file but i can download the other files from others users, and the same happen when they uploads a file, they can not downloads their own files.

Hello,

I am wondering how to change the function of after logging in it will go automatically to My Downloads and not Profile. I cannot edit the slug because it will need a / after download-dashboard. I don’t know where the login destination is edited.

Hi Team,

From Membership page(https://www.smartzworld.com/downloads/membership/) if I click on checkout then the page is Blank – https://www.smartzworld.com/downloads/check-out/?wppm_task=checkout&plan_id=7749

In WordPress Dashboard for Membership plugin only paypal is available. I’ve added the addon instamojo payment gateway and configured it in wp premium membership but it is not showing instamojo and it is showing only the Paypal checkout option in Membership Pro profile page dashboard – https://www.smartzworld.com/downloads/dashboard/?udb_page=membership-plans.

It shows below error for paypal checkout: I think the currency should be INR for India.

You shall get the option from Downloads > Settings > Quick Forms as I image attached,

also, you shall get an option in Downloads > Custom Fields

Hello,

Thank you for adding the new option to duplicate downloads in 5.3.4.

By default users with the role of Editor are unable to see the Duplicate link for each Download in the ‘All Packages’ list. Is there a way to turn this on for Editors?

We’ve had a lot of issues with the current update, and only with the help of support here have been able to make it work. Recently, a download limit of ‘3’ was applied to about 40% of our packages seemingly at random. We were able to fix this with a simple SQL query to replace the ‘3’ with ”. Easy enough. However, now when someone starts a download after agreeing to our T&C, the file downloads twice at the same time. Anyone have experience with this? Ive tried disabling “Parallel Downloads” as that was the only setting I could find that sounded remotely close, with no noticeable change. Please advise.

I have enabled captcha, but downloading is still allowed without using it.
I’ve activated Captcha via downloads / settings / basic.

Captcha is there. No errors.
But anyone can download without verification.

Help please.
