Hope you are well. We have updated shortcode structure recently. The shortcode format will be like this,

[wpdm_all_packages login=1 thumb=1 items_per_page="20" categories="slug1,slug2,..." jstable=1 order_by="field_name" order="ASC/DESC" cols="title,file_count,download_count|categories|update_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|Update Date|Download::155px"]

wpdm-all-downloads.php is now all-packages-shortcode.php located under the download-manager/src/package directory in the latest version and I think you should be able to customize it.

You have updated from the very old version right? as code structure has been changed in the latest version.

Only link or page template files should be customizable not the wpdm-all-downloads.php file.
As it’s described in the docs /{active-theme}/download-manager/link-templates.

I know this is an old post but I have having trouble getting downloads to down automatically , keeps opening in the browser, I have tired to selecting the file from different places. Its PDF’s that I am trying to get working.

Any help would be amazing, thank you.

After updating to the latest version simply visiting the link and page template menu on the admin dashboard will resolve the issue. As the action will regenerate the templates automatically in the new style.

Go to Downloads>templates then visit all tabs there.

Hopefully, your problem will be solved.

Hope you are well. For this shortcode [wpdm_my_downloads login=1] with Advanced Access Control add-on, when you assign a particular package to a user. That user will access that package which has been already shared with him/her. And for role-based restriction, you may check the Allow Accessoption from package settings. please let me know if you have more query

For total downloads of the sum of all packages, you can use this the below code,

And for a certain user, please use this code snippet in your theme functions.php
