79DESIGNParticipantI think what you are showing there is downloads for ALL users, as the All Newsletters area.
I am talking about the downloads we assign to a Member only.So CEO of Wallmart wants to see all HIS downloads.
But then he wants to see only his downloads for Delivery PDFs.Can we do that?

I’m so sorry, but I still dont’ understand.
Are you saying, that right now, there is no means to allow us to assign Downloads to a category?
So let’s say Wallmart used your plugin. And they had these PDF docs. But they needed to see them for their Staff, and then for Store, and then for Deliveries.
Is there no way at all, that we can let the Member login to their dashboard, and filter, to just see the PDF docs for Deliveries???Mar 26, 2024 at 11:18 am #194279
79DESIGNParticipantWhen the user goes to their dashboard, yes, I would like them to be able to view all their downloads, but then to clikc the Categories assigned. IE if they have a Farm, and 5 Downlaods are assigned to the Farm category, they can see only the downloads to Farm.
I accept Farm would be used by more than one Package or user, but THEIR downloads assigned to Farm, shoudl then be seen.
Make sense?Mar 25, 2024 at 7:26 pm #194257In reply to: Update 3.2.88 does not work
Elodie CEMOIParticipantHi Tahasin,
We have seen that you have changed the “_” by “-” in the short code definition; now there is the following: “[wpdm-all-packages items_per_page=10]“. This does not match with the documentation, but it works.
Nevertheless, it seems to us that it is the only operational short code, as we did not manage to have the “category filtering” as we had before.
1-.How to get the filtering on the categories, as your (wonderful) plugin was previously able to do ?
2-.We have checked and there is no more login restriction: I mean that the downloads are available even if a user is not logged in.Thank you very much for your reply !

79DESIGNParticipantI can see all users are in the list.
May I please ask the purpose of having both Roles and Members?Surely if you can assign to Roles, then all users in that roles list, would be assigned. Else you have to assign Role AND Members, which seems duplication.
Is it not possible to assign it solely to Role, so you can assign members to that role, and they automcailly get access to the downloads?

Nayeem RiddhiModeratorHello Todd Dixon,
Hope you are well. Somehow your topic was marked as spam. I have approved it now. However, you will be able to restrict any downloads by any WordPress role from the
Downloads > All Packages > Navigate Any Package Edit Option > Package Settings > Allow Accessoption as I image attached. And if you are trying to restrict download packages with specific users, you can use this add-on, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-access-control/. With this will help you to control user-specific access to your files and document downloads. You can check this option too for showing contents conditionally from the
Downloads > Settings > General > Access Settings > When user is not allowed to download > Hide Everythingoption as I image attached, please check and let me know, if you need anything help more.
Thank you and regards

79DESIGNParticipantOk yes I get that.
Create a New Package.
Call it something.
Assign to Member Role.
Uplaod bulk files.
May I Ask, in the Downloads section for that user (viewing as a Member Role), do they see all files. IE. If it is for Health and Safety, do they click the Health and SAfety Package, and then view all their downloads? Is it kind of treated like a CAtegory to the company?
Very smart if “yes”…..Mar 22, 2024 at 1:38 pm #194183In reply to: Agree in Terms not working in file cart
Nayeem RiddhiModeratorI have checked your issue. I have found that this plugin is not active on your side, https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpdm-premium-packages/, because, the option image I have attached is not available on your
Downloads > Settingsinterface. However, for your more information with File Cart add-on lock option doesn’t work, because, the file cart bypasses all lock options for the download. It is also described here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-file-cart/. The doc you have shared https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/using-premium-package/enabling-terms-agreement-checkbox-on-checkout-page/ is for premium packages, those packages are enabled with pricing. It will not work with the file cart as expected. Sorry for the confusion. I hope you have got it now. please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
Mar 22, 2024 at 11:47 am #194173
79DESIGNParticipantNo. We can create a user within WP as standard.
But ideally wish we could create a Role, assign the user to the role, and assign the Downloads to that Role.So you have multiple users for one company.
The Company is the Role.
Docs assigned to company.Do you know a simple way to do that? Since your plugin already assigns to Roles, do you know a free way to create multiple roles???

Nayeem RiddhiModeratorHello 79DESIGN,
Hope you are well. If you are using only the WPDM PRO plugin, you will be able to restrict any downloads by any WordPress role from the
Downloads > All Packages > Navigate Any Package Edit Option > Package Settings > Allow Accessoption. And if you are trying to restrict download packages with specific users, you can use this add-on, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-access-control/. With this will help you to control user-specific access to your files and document downloads. The next reply here may come tomorrow, because, I am going offline. Please let me know if you have any other queries.Thank you again and regards
Mar 21, 2024 at 3:26 pm #194128
Nayeem RiddhiModeratorYes, you can do it with this free add-on, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/gutenberg-blocks/. With the All download table block, you can get this appearance, https://wpdmpro.w3eden.com/wpdm-all-downloads-2/. Please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
Mar 21, 2024 at 1:35 pm #194117In reply to: Agree in Terms not working in file cart
abceuropeParticipantWhy do you even think we want to sell anything?! I did not mention this in one word. In opposite, I made clear that the downloads are for free! -> “The downloads are for free, user just have to agree on terms before they can download files in the file cart.”
On our website (only available for registered/logged in users) user can download files FOR FREE. At the moment without any terms to agree before the download. This is the only thing we want to change now! User must have to agree on terms before they can download anything. That can be solved by your “Lock options”, described in this documentation.
We added the lock setting as described in our download files but the checkout settings is missing in the privacy tab! So the popup is not showing up when user download files. The only difference to the documentation is that we have the Add-on WPDM – File Cart.
I hope you get finally, what we need. The problem is very clear described inclusive screenshots.

Nayeem RiddhiModeratorplease check the doc here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_category-query-all-downloads-from-one-or-more-categories/, you have to put the required parameter too in the shortcode parameter. please check and let me know

Nayeem RiddhiModeratorHello,
For #1, You can check our different versions of shortcodes here,
https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/For #2, You have to navigate each package’s attached files for that, please check
Downloads > All Packages, you can edit any package. please check and let me knowthank you and regards
Mar 21, 2024 at 11:39 am #194108
79DESIGNParticipantOk.
1) how do I actually get the page setup that lists them all? I’m sure it is with a shortcode, but different versions? You have a very smart way of doing it.
2) Removal of files: let’s say the client sees a PDF that was never meant to be in the Downloads list. How does she remove it from the Downloads list?Simon

Nayeem RiddhiModeratorHello,
By default the download packages are in search program for WordPress default search feature. And can you please elaborate on how do we go through them all, and remove from the list (ie. if they weren’t meant to be added to the downloads screen) issue? please check and let me know
Thank you and regards

mrcbtParticipantI disabled warnings in the wp-config file, this is a local text environment. There is no live link yet. sorry.
After I disable the warning, all seems ok.
Two questions:
How can I close the player? I know I can pause it, etc. But I don’t see a way to close it once its opened https://try.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/audio-songs-2/
You send me the file in that google link, that file is not available in wp downloads pro addons? How hard would it be to have a different player instead of the wavesurfer-player?

in forum Download Manager Pro
Todd DixonParticipantHi, I am a Download Manager Pro user and how do we set up the downloads in WPDM so that they can only be seen and accessible to users who are specifically assigned to them?
We aim to restrict access to downloads in WPDMM so that only users who are assigned to specific downloads can access them. This restriction is crucial for maintaining control over sensitive content and ensuring compliance with our organization’s security policies.
Our concern is all of the downloads are seen by all users and they have access to the download page or link. Is there a way that should allow for granular control over download access, ensuring that only designated users can view and download specific files?
Please advise. Thank you.
