I am in the process of setting up the website of our choir completely new.
On my development site I installed WPDM Pro and created download packages and templates for links and pages.

Now when I generate the page (http://development.bonnenglishsingers.de/practice-files/) but I don’t get any links but the link from the package list to the respective package page. There are NO download links.

I also checked using built-in templates which didn’t change anything. WPDM just doesn’t create download links for me. I checked and all the files have been uploaded to /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files

Whatever I change in WPDM’s settings it doesn’t have an impact at all.

Can someone please help me?

I have been using v2.5.95 for some time and it works great…thank you for the plugin.

I’d like to ask for the correct upgrade procedure though, because I did what I usually do to upgrade a plugin, which was to delete the old version from my plugins folder and upload the new one. My WP dashboard reported the latest version was now in use and the Downloads menu moved upwards in the WP menu and got a different icon. But none of my existing downloads or categories were listed! I had appeared to have lost them all.

I found and read this thread (http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/all-my-download-manager-files-missing-after-2-7upgrade/) but the option in the menu as described to upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 was not there…. I assume that has changed for this latest version.

So in desperation I restored my former version from a backup I’d taken a few months ago, and now it’s all back to normal again, allbeit using v2.5.95 instead of the latest. I am using WordPress 4.6.1.

Any file I add and then attempt to download results in a text file being downloaded instead titled “file-not-found.txt”. When I open this file it contains the following text “File not found or deleted from server”. Please advise.

I also have Form Lock installed, but I don’t want the form appearing on the page or post. I want the user to have to click through from the post/page to the file’s download page and then having to fill out the form to download the file(s).

Please advise ASAP.

I am working with a company where no file should be available for all visitors. Is there a way to disable this user role?

If not disable it, is there a way to remove it from the default?

I am working with a customer who has multiple people with access to edit and modify. Recently some of the access rights on our downloads were changed. We had specifically removed “all visitors” and individually added the roles that were allowed. Unfortunately last week we found several files had “all visitors” activated and nothing else.

Does anyone have any ideas on how I can be tracking this?

I’m using the wpdm-archive-page plugin to generate the advanced search form.

On my search page I have this:

Everything is great with this but some of my Downloads are just links to a Youtube so I don’t want a ‘Download’ link for these items.

How can I add a condition in this template file so that if the [file_size] is 0.00 then I don’t show the download link.

I tried using the
<?php echo 'The size is this:'.do_shortcode("[file_size]"); ?>
but it is not recognized.

Any ideas?

Please assist. I am using WordPress vs 4.6.1 running Headway theme. Download manager vs 2.9.1. free version
This was working perfectly. Tried to upload a new download this morning and ALL the downloads have disappeared from the Web site. There are over 200. They are still on the server.

Have disabled all the plug-ins, still not working
Have checked the server

Would appreciate any advice as to repair this. I am using this plug in on other Web sites and dont have the same problem.
