I have been using v2.5.95 for some time and it works great…thank you for the plugin.
I’d like to ask for the correct upgrade procedure though, because I did what I usually do to upgrade a plugin, which was to delete the old version from my plugins folder and upload the new one. My WP dashboard reported the latest version was now in use and the Downloads menu moved upwards in the WP menu and got a different icon. But none of my existing downloads or categories were listed! I had appeared to have lost them all.
I found and read this thread (http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/all-my-download-manager-files-missing-after-2-7upgrade/) but the option in the menu as described to upgrade from 2.6 to 2.7 was not there…. I assume that has changed for this latest version.
So in desperation I restored my former version from a backup I’d taken a few months ago, and now it’s all back to normal again, allbeit using v2.5.95 instead of the latest. I am using WordPress 4.6.1.
