We’ve worked with you guys quite a bit on getting out settings and permissions set so that our users can download large files. And it has been working really well.
Until we installed the update.
Now the large downloads timeout at 3.5 minutes.
We have a 100MB file. I tried downloading it on 3 different machines with different connection speeds multiple times each. Sometimes it downloaded 30MBs of the file and and I got ‘download was interrupted’ at 3.5 minutes. Sometimes it downloaded 80MBs of the file and I got ‘download was interrupted’ at 3.5 minutes.
I had one successful download where the it finished in 2:45 minutes.
I then put the same file on a server and tested a direct link download and was successful 3 times in a row and each download took around 10 minutes.
I am fully aware that our internet here is painfully slow, but it was working before the update and now it’s not?
Did something change in this update or did something get over-written somewhere?
Dear support
we are running WPDM on these page : https://www.l-mobile.com/interaktiv/downloadcenter/ Everything is running fine and we use different layouts for single downloads, download page, etc.
Problem is we want to have WPDM category pages in same layout like main download page. As example category page: https://www.l-mobile.com/downloads/digitales-service-management/
The category page is created automatically from WPDM and uses blog-style from theme. How I can apply the layout from the main page to this pages?
Thanks for your help Marc
Hi. I’ve bought Pro, and installed it, but can’t see any of my downloads on screen. I’ve downloaded the Pro migration tool, but when I run it, it gives me two Version 3 packages on the list, but no other options. What am I missing? 🙂
Hello,
We have a standard of 4 packages per product (price, tech specs, catalogs, montage guidelines) on our downloads website.
However as you can assume not all products have a file for each of the packages. therefore sometimes we have a package with 0 files inside.
Those still show up in our [wpdm_all_packages] and [wpdm-archive cat_view].
Is there an option/possibility/code snippet (js, jquery,…?) to hide those empty ones?
Not creating them is not an option since over time most of them might get their documentation filled in eventually. And the people who will do that should only add files not create the package.
Kind regards,
Skylux
Hi,
I am scoping for a new web project and need to know if there is any way in which the Subscriber emails for download packages can be linked up to use the email from an already logged in user?
We are using Woocommerce to sell physical products on the website, but will have trade accounts using this wholesale plugin.
The downloads will only be available to trade customers who have signed up with this specific user level.
I would like to know if there is any way in which your Newsletters plugin can work with this, automatically using the users email address when logged in to add them as a subscriber to the package and get notifications when the files are updated within this package.
We want the process to be as automatic as possible and don’t really want an already signed in user to have to input their email address again once they have registered or signed in.
Do you think there is any way in which this can be done? Or will users have to put in their email address in order to get notified with the Newsletters plugin?
Many Thanks,
Nick
I first installed the plugin on: ps-international.de
but now I created a subdomain and installed it on this: downloads.ps-international.de
I removed the plugin on the other domain but when I add the key to the new domain it tells me: Invalid License Key!
Hi
I wonder if someone can help. I have purchased the Pro version and also File Cart add-on.
A user can download individual packages OK. They can also add packages to the Cart OK. When they go to the cart page they see the added package downloads in the cart OK too.
However if they click the ‘Download’ button in the cart (which should download a ZIP containing all the packages in the cart), then a text file called ‘something-wrong.txt’ gets downloaded and not a ZIP of the files. The Text file contains the words “File not found!”
Can someone please help tell me where I am going wrong?
Cheers.
Hi,
Sice I installed the latest version the website lags very much, especially on the pages with links to downloads (but also on the backend). About 1 minute to open pages!
Thank you in advance
