On the following page, I would like to display about 20 keywords that have been searched the most so far, in order of search frequency.
When a keyword is clicked, it should either perform a search for that keyword or insert it into the search field.

Ideally, it would also be possible to specify a time range, such as “the past month.”
(This should be based on the number of times the keyword was searched, not the number of downloads or views.)

Separately, is it possible to track search keyword statistics, similar to the download history?
Or is there a way to save the data and view statistics?

Thanks thats not what I mean, I’m looking to using zapier to pull the download fields like name, email to a shared excel file to share will my team automatically as soon as someone downloads a package.

Ok but I need the CATEGORY filter and the Elementor Add On All Downloads Table doesnt have this feature correct?

Thanks for the reply.

I understand your point regarding VPNs or other client-side tools possibly affecting IP or browser data. However, this is not the issue we’re reporting.

The issue is that:
• The user adelineMoreau has clearly hit the 50-download limit (wpdm_dd_user_dlc = 50)
• But the ahm_download_stats table only contains 10 entries for this user (uid = 182)
• The Download History screen in the admin only shows those same 10 entries
• All downloads were done while logged in and should have been recorded

This is not a case of stats not counting correctly — the plugin is counting downloads but not recording the full download history, which creates a mismatch between:
• What the plugin enforces (download limit)
• What the plugin shows in reports (partial data)

This affects multiple users across the site — not just one case.

Could you please escalate this to your development team or confirm:
1. Is there a known bug in how many downloads are logged in ahm_download_stats?
2. Under what conditions might a download increment the count but not be recorded in the log?

As it is happening with multiple different users, I’m not really sure how I can check this, but why would the counting stats be correct but the actual downloads not be recorded?

I will reach out to the WPML support team to check if they have a possible solution. However, since I suspect there may not be a suitable option from their side, I wanted to ask:

Is there perhaps a plugin or extension that is compatible with WP Download Manager, and can work alongside WPML, focusing only on translating the textual content (e.g. title, description, excerpt) of the download – without creating new package IDs or breaking the file and icon associations?

Could you kindly recommend any solution or plugin that is known to work well specifically with WPDM in multilingual environments?

This would really help us avoid extensive manual work across thousands of downloads.

Thanks for your reply – let me clarify the issue in more detail.

We have created thousands of downloads in German using WP Download Manager (WPDM). On our product pages, we embed these using shortcodes like:

Now we want to make these downloads available in English, French, Spanish, etc. – but only the description should be translated. The file itself stays the same, since it’s usually a CAD file or technical document.

When we translate a download using WPML (by duplication or automatic translation), the following happens:

🔴 The core problems:
A new download post is created, with a new package ID
→ This breaks our shortcodes on the product pages.

The new post does not retain the file, icon, or other settings
→ We would have to reconfigure each translated download manually.

✅ What we want:
We want to reuse the same download post / container (with the original ID, file, and icon) across languages – and only translate the text fields (title, description, etc.).

📌 Example:
The plugin currently generates two separate IDs for the same file:

German download:
138798_CAD.stp → [wpdm_package id='78571']

English download:
138798_CAD.stp → [wpdm_package id='78731']

This creates two independent posts, which means we lose the file reference in the translated version. That’s exactly what we want to avoid.

Can you please let us know if there is a way to:

Keep one single download package per file

Translate only the texts, not the technical settings or file links

Retain the same shortcode across all languages

I’m not sure that’s what we are looking for. We use Beaver Builder and would really just love a shortcode that is for the current user’s “Total Downloads” that we can insert wherever and however we want within our pages. I’m just not finding a list of all of the user meta keys that might be tied to this data.

Or be able to just insert the “Recommended Packages” data wherever we want and not have it tied to the whole dashboard layout.
