    Hi,
I’m using the Directory Add-On and what the Download button links to open the document/post page instead of downloading the file. I’ve enabled the ‘Open in Browser’ option in the basic settings but it has not made any difference. Also, I opened another forum thread about the document viewer not working and still need some help with this.
I will add URL and login details in a private reply below.

Logo URL should be added automatically, however, we are checking the issue and released an update within the next week.

Everything worked fine, until I changed the shortcode of the login form: deleted the logo parameter from the shortcode and edited the registration url parameter. Then it didn’t work anymore.

If I try to login with several accounts, the redirection is correct, but I’m not logged in.
I did put back the shortcode as it was, but it still does not work. I also deactivated all other plug-ins to see if there’s a conflict. I tried it on different browsers and devices. I also tried this shortcode: [wpdm_login_form] and tried editing the shortcode (deleting or adding parameters).

Do you have any idea of what the problem could be?

    I used this shortcode:
    [wpdm_login_form logo="https://beemate.be/wp-content/uploads/2021/02/cropped-logo_beemate1.png" regurl="https://beemate.be/wpdm-registration" redirect="https://beemate.be/welkom/"]

I deactivated the WPDM plug-ins to be sure to be able to login. So if u want to test, you’ll have to activate them.

Here showing HTTP error 403, there may have confliction between other plugins, you can also deactivate or activate other plugins for checking,

The two most likely causes of the 403 Forbidden Error on WordPress are:

    Corrupt .htaccessfile
    Incorrect file permissions
It’s also possible that you’re seeing the error because of an issue with a plugin that you’re using at your site. In this article, we’ll show you how to troubleshoot all of these potential issues.

    403 Forbidden Error Variations
Like many other HTTP status codes, there are a lot of different variations for how this error code presents itself.

Here are some common variations that you might come across:

“Forbidden – You don’t have permission to access / on this server”
“403 – Forbidden: Access is denied”
    “Error 403 – Forbidden”
“403 – Forbidden Error – You are not allowed to access this address”
    “403 Forbidden – nginx”
“HTTP Error 403 – Forbidden – You do not have permission to access the document or program you requested”
“403 Forbidden – Access to this resource on the server is denied”
“403. That’s an error. Your client does not have permission to get URL / from this server”
“You are not authorized to view this page”
“It appears you don’t have permission to access this page.”
If you’re on an Nginx server, it will look like this below. Basically, if you see any mention of “forbidden” or “not allowed to access”, you’re probably dealing with a 403 Forbidden error.

please check those issues, or you may contact with hosting service provider for the resoution

    thanks

    The default template is this:

    Hello,

    You just received a message:
    <div style=”padding: 20px;margin: 10px 0;border:1px solid #ddd”>
    [#message#]
    </div>

    [#reply_url#]

Is there a way to get the user name of the user next to Hello? We would like the email to the Hello [User], …..

    Hi Nayeem,
I need dynamically control access rights to individual files and the way, how they are downloaded.
In apply_filters(‘before_download’, $package); I can alter some package fields and change wpdm-start-download.php behavior.
The most usefull for me is ability to change $package[‘url_protect’] on fly right before it is sent to user by \WPDM\libs\FileSystem::downloadFile.
    Currently do_action(“wpdm_onstart_download”, $package); in wpdm-start-download.php don’t allow change $package.
apply_filters(‘wpdm_onstart_download’, $package); can save my soul:) if you like to remove ‘before_download’ filter.
Can I change $package[‘url_protect’] field value dynamically before download in the last processing phase?

    By the way:
silent removal of documented filters is not a good job.
‘before_download’ is documented and work fine in free version. Buying Pro I got headache in addition because working site with free version become broken when switched to pro.
The similar next issue: in free version DM tags are conneected to post-tag taxonomy. In Pro – to custom wpdmtag taxonomy. So after upgrade database become broken. Of cource it is no problem to write script that restores tags, but, I do think, this should be your job.
It is not a good practice when site using only documented hooks become broken after upgrading from free version to paid.

    thanks

    Hi

I just bought the active campaign add on, but when I add my API url and API key, then it still just says: Access denied: Invalid credentials (URL and/or API key)

And I can’t do anything else?
I have pressed save changes and refreshed multiple times.

The page redirects to the url that we added but we are not seeing the progression bar and the file does not download.

I have WPDM installed on a site at 2020.myspecialdomain.com and I’m going to update where the domain points so it goes to www.myspecialdomain.com
These are my steps to what I plan to take. Update where the domains point in CPanel, then update the WordPress Address and Site Address in the databases and then run the “update URLs” plugin.
Do you see any issues with this process in terms of affecting my installation and documents for WPDM? Thank you.

by default, you are using link-template-default.php for link template and page-template-default.php for the page template. you can follow this doc, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/template-files/ for back-up your files, As documentation, you have to copy the file in the theme directory naming a folder called download-manager, then paste it in tpls>page-templates for page template or tpls>link-templates for link template.

For opening in new windows, please add this code replacing [download_link] in page/link templates PHP file as i described above,

    <a href="[download_url]" onclick="window.open('[download_url]','newwindow','width=1200,height=800'); return false;" class="btn btn-primary" target="_blank">[link_label]</a>

    thanks
