1. Attach Dir – Doesn’t work for packages. Resulting download is a filenotfound txt file.
—-Working fine from your website if price is not set. Example here
2. Test Pay – For individual bundles – transaction processes and order is recorded but no download is available in account “Order Details”.
—– Found the issue. If directory is selected there is no download button. But if the download is in zip, then working fine. However, I have forwarded the issue to the developer team. It will be fixed soon.
3. Download from package pages – Free membership can download from the package details page. But paid memberships can only download from “My Downloads” area in their account. Also if a person purchases a package (not a membership), they still see a “Buy” button instead of a “Download” button on the public facing package page
—-It is a feature. free membership can download from package because there is no need to login for them. For members, they need to login to get their purchased products. After purchase all need to download from their dashboard area.
4. In the block editor, Pricing and Discounts/Package Free Downloads – Requires uploading to or selecting from the Media Library – Can’t select file from the server.
— Files can be selected from server without any issue please check here
5. In the block editor, Pricing and Discounts/Package Free Downloads – Require name and email to get the free file.
—I have checked the related page here. It is set in the way from your side that the visitor will need to login first otherwise need to register. Generally almost every membership site works in this way that you need to login first, if no account then visitor needs to register. you can set access it to all visitors and lock downlod with email lock. So that visitor doesn’t need to create account to your site also you will get email of them.
6. Enabling Single File Download – Doesn’t seem to do anything.
—Single download is working fine. You can check the screenshot below to know how it works. In a download packages these are the single file download buttons.
7. Custom templates Bug: Some of the insert variables put in the wrong code – for example download button adds download URL and download URL inserts download button shortcode
—Custom template is working properly. you can check all of our template tags here. All work properly.

Could you please make sure the wpdm archive addon is activated from the plugins page?

Our site is in test mode. Website audience is Human Resource departments.
Two main site functions are:
1 Sell Zip bundles of templates consisting of PDF, MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint files.
Plus
2 Two membership options
– Free member level with PDF downloads
– Paid member level with access to all paid bundles and source files
Problems we’re having:

For updating the WPDM main plugin, Please simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, and then please update the plugin from the wp-admin > plugins panel. For saving settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License, that will regenerate the access token. Thus the plugin will be updated.
And for updating WPDM other plugins, please download your plugin from here,
User Dashboard
and update manually from the wp-admin dashboard Plugins > Add New option
For your issue #1, please share the related URL, if possible, can you please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue?

I have a few questions for you:
1. Is there any way I can select a Primary category (if I have more than one)?
2. Is there a way to remove or hide all the provided templates, or ensure our own default link and page templates are selected by default for each package? I’m happy to add a filter to our theme files if necessary.
3. Can you tell me the best way to insert an inline text link to a package? I have found other questions about this but there doesn’t seem to be a conclusive answer. I would like 2 options:
a) To add a link using the package title
b) To add a link to custom text
I created a template using the title and url, but this is being added outside the paragraph that WP has created, and inside a ‘w3eden’ div. I would like it to appear inside the same paragraph as the rest of the text.

This displays as:

I can make .w3eden display inline, but the separate paragraphs are still there.

Glad to see you again.
In our development environment as well as testing environment of online, there is no issue with coupon field. Also we haven’t received any report regarding this.
There is something in your server environment that is conflicting with wpdm and causing the issue. In this case first of all I would suggest to clear cache and deactivate it for few times to check if the issue persists. If it doesn’t solve the issue, Then You need to run a basic wordpress conflict test on your site to detect what actually causes the problem. if there are any conflicts among the installed plugins. To troubleshoot the issue, please deactivate other plugins except for WPDM with all addons of WPDM if you are using and check if the issue still persists. If that solves your problem, activate the plugins one by one, and continue checking the issue. In this way, you will be able to detect which one causes the problem.
However, after doing so, if the issue persists, Could you please share related website url to check the issue properly? Please also share temporary admin access of your website. If you don’t want to share admin access, you can create a staging site to reproduce the issue then give me admin access of that.

Thanks for the quick reply back. I understand the requirements for Google to update their index. From what I am seeing in Google Search Console the issue is that GoogleBot is seeing WP Download Manager links like the following:
https://myurl.com/download/2022-my-document/?wpdmdl=1190&refresh=63518588bddff1666286984
This link is different each time Google indexes the pages on the site because the refresh parameter is different each time they index a page. To Googlebot the link is different and therefor needs to be indexed. Because of this Google says I am currently at 70,000 un-indexed pages, which are all download links to the same 40 PDFs I have in Download Manager. Is there a way in Download Manager to have that one refresh parameter removed from the links being displayed? If not I will look into adding a jQuery function to the site to remove it as it is not needed for the link to work. If the Unmasking Download Link is supposed to remove the parameter it is not working. This is with the latest Download Manager and WordPress.

I am having the same issue. GoogleBot going crazy indexing the same PDFs over and over due to the random refresh parameter being added to the URL. I tried the Unmask Download Link and this did not remove the parameter. I also tried switching to a file uploaded to the WordPress Media library, this did not help. I then tried the Beta feature to activate flat download URL. For both the Download Manager and Media files I get a Page Not Found error. I have tested with the site cache off.Cleared my browser cache.Not sure where to go from here. I do not want to noindex the PDF downloads although may need to for now as Google is putting a significant load on the server from all of the downloading.

I have added URL from google drive into “Insert URL” section ( it from google drive addon)
The download function is working file but when I need to duplicate page to edit and change URL location
I try to click DELETE button on that file but it is not working. No error code, that URL is just highlight in RED

I have seen that you are using a locked package here on the commercial evaporators page, however, for the locked package download button image structure will be like this,

and the general download button, it should be like,

so it will be very difficult for you and you have to create the individual templates for individual packages. However, we had a button image add-on which is deprecated now, but we are adding the button image feature in the PRO plugin soon. I hope you have understood.

i will share with you. can you guide me where can i change emails that are sent to admins when someone send us message. Please see https://www.afmasymposium.co.za/news/ – I have a list of all my Mailchimp e-newsletters and wanted to know if there is a way to link directly from my WPDM upload to a specific Mailchimp e-newsletter URL (as you would upload a file, just in this case there is no file, just a URL). I am using WPDM Pro as there might be pdfs for download in future as well that will be added to this specific list. For now I’m using a page redirect plugin when uploading my Mailchimp e-newsletter to this page list.
Thus I wanted to know if WPDM can link to a URL as there is no actual file to upload.

Nevermind…I have figured it out. Adding “/wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files/[PDF NAME]” to the end of my site URL pulls the piece as I’m looking for.

this is the WPDM plugin / s3 module. The system works perfectly for new packages or for newly added files. they are transferred to S3 and links are working. The issue is with pre-existing files that were added to packages before using the S3 plugin.
The manual solution is to go into each package and select the file from S3 and delete the old package. However, there are thousands of files. There must be a better solution to this.
When a file is synced to S3 using https://domain.com/?s3sync=1 that file is sent to S3 and the package shows in the Attached files section that the URL is updated to https://domain.s3.amazon.com/downloads/file.pdf.
So the s3sync=1 is doing what it is supposed to do – upload the pre-existing file to S3, update the download link for the file in the package. However, if the pre-existing file has a space in it then the link is broken due to double encoding.
