You can deactivate the gutenberg editor from here Downloads > settings > General. Here is a screenshot for your assistance.

First of all, make sure that you have selected the login and register page from the settings.screenshot

When a user logs in, they are redirected to the dashboard page like this. If you want to create a separate page to display all your files, you can use our shortcodes.

In this case, the Pro Membership add-on would be a better option than the Advanced Access Control. While Advanced Access Control is designed to provide access to individual users, the Pro Membership allows you to grant access to entire user groups, which can significantly reduce the workload on your end.

Additionally, you can use the Pro Membership with the free version of the Download Manager.

Thanks for reaching out.

Please confirm if I have understood correctly:
You have five files—A, B, C, D, and E—and three user groups: group_1, group_2, and group_3.

    Group_1 should have access to files A and B.
    Group_2 should have access to files A, B, and C.
    Group_3 should have access to all five files (A, B, C, D, and E).

Additionally, you do not want users to register themselves. Instead, you will manually create their accounts and provide them with login credentials.
Please let me know if this is correct.

Kindly follow these steps and inform me if they are effective for you.
1. Deactivate and Delete old version
2. Install & Activate latest version.
Deleting old version will not delete your data.
