in the active theme directory. Then the single download page will be separate single.php .
Unfortunately We haven’t worked with related theme before. The single.php template was complex there. It is out of our support policy to work with a third party theme files.

I see you are uploading password protected pdf. It is asking for password to me. It is not possible to read a password protected pdf by any program. That is the reason it is not suggested.
You can follow this doc to protect your pdf from copying by converting texts into images. It will help you to achieve your requirements.

I have found that the single download page is coming from theme file single.php
. Currently single blog post and single download post both are coming from this template. You have to modify that for moving the download-tag to below of the page. To modify it and create a special single download page, you have to create single-wpdmpro.php
in the active theme directory. Then the single download page will be separate. We suggest using child theme for these changes because updating will remove the changes if child theme is not used.
Also lock download is worrking properly if you login as a visitor.

It is working properly in our development environment. I think, There could be some conflict issues in your site. In this case, I would suggest running a conflict test. You need to run a basic WordPress conflict test on your site to detect what actually causes the problem. To troubleshoot the issue, please deactivate other plugins except for WPDM. Then check if the issue still persists. If that solves your problem, activate the plugins one by one, and continue checking the issue. You can also test theme conflict too. In this way, you will be able to detect which one causes the problem. If it doesn’t solve, you can check conflict with theme too.
If the issue still persists, please share the admin access in a private reply to check further.

Filebase was a WordPress plugin, but they discontinued their support and many of the filebase users requested for this addon to migrate to wpdm.
To use this you may need the Filebase plugin. So you need to use that plugin first to make wpdm filebase working properly.

That is causing the issue.
