For now, please update manually by following the steps:
1. Deactivate and Delete the old version
2. Download the latest version from https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3. Install and activate the latest version
4. Done! ( The process will not harm your old data/settings )
We shall fix the auto-update issue with the next update of wpdm.

Please let me know which payment gateway you are using during checkout process. Need to configure redirect URL there. If you want user to download without signup, you need to enable Guest Download as well as the guest checkout and create a guest download page with the shortcode [wpdmpp_guest_orders]. Please try logout and login again from Admin Menu Settings Updates tab. You also may update manually through the steps:
1. Deactivate and Delete the old version

From the next update, you will be able to use the automatic upgrade as usual.
