Maybe related to server caching. however, I have increased the download speed in the settings. If it is related to cache then you have to exclude download URLs from caching and if it is related to server timeout then increase PHP execution time.

Ok, you may log in to your site through the Cpanel or FTP access. After login there, you can delete the WPDM plugin temporary for the default login option of wp-admin. thus you can get access now in your WordPress admin panel. after login, you can again install the WPDM plugin. with this process you will not lose any data.

Please follow these steps for upgrading the plugin,

1 ) Deactivate and delete the old version. You won’t lose any data.
2 ) Download latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3 ) Install the latest version and activate the license key.

To enable the auto-update, login to your WPDM account from the Downloads > Settings > License tab. If login is successful and you have an active subscription then you can update the future releases right from your plugins page.

Then you should use download limit setting the value 999999 as the Limit Reset Period. It should work for an unlimited download option.
