Ok, got your issue. With multiple PDF files PDF viewer is working properly as expected in our testing site. I think it may have a conflict between your plugins or theme. You can disable one by one other plugins for testing if there are any conflicts. you may also switch the theme to another for checking. Please kindly check and let me know.

For hiding the favorite button for non-logged users, you can use the bellow code wrapping the favorite button in your php template,
