For now, the feature is what you are seeing now. The user needs to go to download page again for download. However, you can also adjust the appearance by adjusting the file from wp-content\plugins\download-manager\src\User\views\dashboard\download-history.php file. The dropbox PDF with PDF viewer addon is showing properly here as expected on our testing site with the latest version, https://wpdmpro.w3eden.com/download/dropbox-pdf-viewer. I think there might be a conflict some where within plugins/theme/server. It can have misconfiguration with your dropbox API too as you shared the second image. Please kindly check.
