For issue #1, For updating from the older version it will update to the latest version, not the next version. For the Memberships Pro add-on, it will work for most of the themes. please share the related URL. if possible, please, give your temporary wp-admin login details in a private reply for checking the issue.

Please download first all of your add-ons and WPDM PRO plugin too from your account. Then you can use your FTP too for uploading your latest version add-ons/plugins to your server. Then you can activate them from your wp-admin > plugins section. I hope thus, your problem will be resolved. please let me know then.
