I think the issue is not with the WPDM, it is happening due to your cache plugins, please exclude dynamic pages ( page with parameters ) or download URL ( /?wpdmdl=* ) from the cache. I hope it will work fine then. please check and let me know

Please adjust Email Lock Notification Email Templates from your Downloads > Templates > Email Templates > Email Lock Notification ( To: Customer ) through the Edit option. I think somehow it is detecting spam for texts by mail subject/body messages. please adjust those, I hope it will work properly then. please check and let me know
