I have checked that, you are using the [image_gallery_500x500x3] template tag. For now, according to file type or extension, the icon will be displayed. However, for custom icons showing for your file, please create a dir named wpdm-file-type-icons inside /wp-content/uploads/ dir and add the icons in SVG format naming the extension of your file type, for example, if you want to change pdf file type icon, keep the pdf.svg in this dir /wp-content/uploads/wpdm-file-type-icons, Please check and let me know, if it helps you.

For updating WPDM add-ons, please download your plugin from here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases,
And update manually from the wp-admin dashboard Plugins > Add New option. I hope, thus it will resolve your issue. please check and let me know, if you have any queries.

I think it may conflict with other scripts for Mask Download Link. You can check to enable/disable other plugins or switch the active theme to another. However, for now, you can use the Unmask Download Link option. It is working properly as expected. please check and let me know
