The modals are working properly on our testings site. I think it may have a conflict between your plugins or theme. You can disable one by one other plugins for testing if there any conflicts. You may also switch theme to another for checking. Please kindly check and let me know.

I think you are using bb-config-lab theme, I have created download-manager folder inside of it. Now you can create login-form.php and reg-form.php inside of it or copy content for it from download-manager plugin and also can customize it. Please kindly check then if it works properly for you.
