the plugin don’t use media manager, it keeps uploaded files in a protected dir so that user don’t get access to those file directly, that is the main purpose of download manager. Anyhow still where is the problem with that, which feature of the plugin is not working for you.

it is because 1 year update and support time after purchase is over, now you need to purchase pro license again to get another year of update and support.
in v2.5.99 we already fixed the delete issue, that update specially for the fix. anyhow I’m checking again.
when I check last time , it was showing free. But I don’t actually know what you did or how you updated, anyhow hosting company should have the backup. May you please ask them to restore. after that, I’ll do that update for you.

except doesn’t do any by itself actually :), if you can show it with page page template using [except] tag or any other use. but will depend on theme like regular post except.
please use this add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-page-templates/ , if your theme has a full with template you can use that for the package using this add-on, it will be simply like selecting page template for regular wp page.

yes, we did the upgrade in pro, but when you asked, we logged in and see there is free version now. may you please ask your hosting company to restore a backup from the time before your update. That will be the best solution for now. After that I can check again if you need.
