as you used [el], now create a custom field name el and value <img src="image-url-here" />

deleting plugin dir will not delete your data, so, no worry :). yes, you also can rename old dir and install new version of plugin and activate.

@Rolf, we still didn’t activate add-on update notice, only core plugin update will show the notification in dashboard
