3.3.8 is not using custom post type , in v4 we almost recoded everything totally for better performance and now it is using custom post type and taxonomy. But the update coming soon though don’t have exact date yet.

1) As you see signup form is created here http://www.germanlightproducts.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=form , on need you can edit the form from there. So your form is ready now. I used the short-code to show form here http://www.germanlightproducts.com/request-access/
2) Here http://www.germanlightproducts.com/wp-admin/edit.php?post_type=form&page=form-register&edit=1 we mapped your form with user signup fields , there you can select user role from “Assign User Role”.
3) when user will submit a form, you will see the request in form entries, now if you approve by click “Register As Site User” button, new user will be created with assigned role.
4) from form edit package window Package Settings, select the role for “Access” field. So if you select same role you assigned in form mapping, then approved user will able to download the package. So if you need users to assign different roles, you need to create multiple signup form and multiple mapping by repeating step 1 and 2.

Looks like there are some sort of understanding. There customization team prepared the add-on to link registration add-on and customize the feature to keep the user pending until you approve it. They also created the form for you, you simply need to apply form lock for your packages. form “‘ />:” please update image button add-on http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-image-button/ , we released new update. Again if you wanted us to do this thing from ground it would take 20+ hours. We were using the form plugin and extended it with an add-on, so why we were able to do that with 4 hours customization deal. Anyhow as I checked everything is perfectly functional there. But if you want me to create sample, give me wp-admin login info in a private reply. I’ll create a complete sample which will make you clear on how it work.

@rebeccafonseca, “$package” array container all data about the package , but you need to know php to handle this.

ok, just checked again and saw there are some js conflict actually, download links are ok, can i disable your other plugins for moments to detect the conflicting plugin.
I see free version is active there, please send me ftp access to plugins dir so that I can safely disable free version then install pro.
