#1. Yes, you can override templates, you need to create single-wpdmpro.php for details page, taxonomy-wpdmcategory.php for category page and archive-wpdmpro.php for archive page.

pro already can do that, if it is a remote url, then wpdm pro will just direct it, rather than download.

Actually wpdm is not using old version and problem also in not for that, but the issue here is the other plugin using same enque id jquery-cookie for cookie js, please ask them to change the id, then everything with work fine.
