I just tested, looks like short-code generator is working fine.
it is coming form your theme, from your theme dir, create a new file named single-wpdmpro.php, copy contents of single.php to single-wpdmpro.php, now you can remove that post meta section from single-wpdmpro.php and save the file.
It looks like related to server, for url request it showing 301 error. May you please tell me which version were you using before update

You need to migrate data from Downloads Settings Migrate Tab. Or you can get back to previous version from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.2.6.96.zip

Still pointing the file /wp-content/plugins/download-manager/js/jquery.cookie.js. BTW, if you are seeing it in browser, then it could be from browser cache.
