Since version (2.8.4) Download Manager requires php v5.3.0+ ( http://php.net/manual/en/language.namespaces.rationale.php ), may you please update your server php version, however if that is not possible, you can get back the previous version from here https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/download-manager.2.8.3.zip

Except it is something with your server it should cause any issue at all, as 180 MB is actually small file, however please try increasing max_execution_time, if that doesn’t resolve it issue, please give me temporary wp-admin login info in a private reply to check,  but probably need to be fixed from hosting support.

The plugin use wp cron to check newsletter schedule and send them, but wp cron is not very reliable, so, if you don’t want to rely on wp cron, you can setup an cron jon from your hosting control panel for the url http://your-site-name.com/?cron_handle=1 with call interval 5 to 30 mins

Sorry, but the default value add-on is the best solution. The add-on may save your time a lot, which could be much more worthy than the add-on price 🙂

This is because, some of your featured images are with wrong extensions and your server failing to create thumbnail from those images, however I’ve changed thumb to icon in your link template and now they are working fine.

This was not an issue with wpdm actually, but we added a patch with wpdm to remove such unexpected chars from filename.

ok now, the problem was happening because of Database Cache option in your cache plugin.
