Everything is okay now, the issue was due to a conflict between WPDM - Gutenberg Blocks and Classic Editor, WPDM – Gutenberg Blocks add-on should only active when you are using Gutenberg editor.

Copy /download-manager/ plugin files properly and overwrite them, there snouldn’t be any such issue.

On all downloads page, I just use packages block using wpdm Gutenberg plugin ( https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/gutenberg-blocks/ ), if you go to edit page, you will see that. And created the following link template to use with the grid view on all downloads page:

And for package details page, I’ve edited your page template, replaced [file_list] with [file_list_extended]:

As they are PDF, activate ImageMagick on your server, you will see the preview of the first page of the PDF files.

So, automatic switching available, but you can achieve that using some javascript and HTML, add 2 buttons and use both [file_list] ( list view ) and [file_list_extended] ( grid view ), and show/hide them with button click as list and grid view switching. You need to do that editing the page template.

Another ( same type ) change in the plugin file wp-content/plugins/download-manager/modules/additional-preview-images.php, which we added on our side too.

You can use size and cols parameter with the template tag, like [file_list_extended_WxHxC], where W = thumbnail width, H = thumbnail height, C = number of columns.

Please install the latest version of wpdm pro and disable resumable download from wpdm basic setting, video player will work fine with ff, chrome, safari and any other browser.

You are using an old version of wpdm pro. The latest version is compatible with php 7.4. Please update your copy. Please follow the steps to upgrade:
1. Deactivate and Delete the old version Admin Menu ► Plugins
2. Download the latest version from https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
3. Install and activate the latest version
4. Done! ( The process will not harm your old data/settings )
From the next update, you will be able to use the automatic upgrade as usual.

@inbloomdigital, looks like @nayeem_riddhi’s sugestion is not entirely correct. You don’t need file hosting and sharing add-on if you don’t need to allow user to upload files and share with other users. And, when user click on ablock, it will open the package details page, you can show attached file preview using template tag [file_list_extended].
