Topic: shortcode modification
Hello,
I would like the [icon] shortcode to link to the download URL (such as what the [download] shortcode does, but showing the icon).
Is there a parameter I can add to this shortcode?
Or where in the php files is it so I can change it?thanks

Topic: Force Download
Is it possible to make the title force the download. I would like the user to be able to click on the title or download link to download the file. I don’t want the title to take you to another page. Basically I want it to work like the free version. Is this possible?
Thank you,
AmandaCurrently, any downloads which are passed through WP Download Manager are corrupted; the resulting *.zip is detected as being “incomplete” by OS X. I have reuploaded the files in question, attempted to use direct-linking instead of the regular built-in file management, and switched file formats, but the issues persists. It seems that WP Download Manager itself is corrupting any archive it processes. Here is a link to the site in question: http://coreyjmahler.com/ and here is a page with a download link: http://coreyjmahler.com/2013/10/24/airport-utility-5-6-1-on-os-x-10-9-mavericks/.
Hi,
When the download button is clicked, the email lightbox is not displaying properly. It’s fading in with the background.
Could you please advise?
I upgraded to WordPress 3.7.1 yesterday and now no longer have access to the Download Manager via the WP Admin dashboard. In previous versions of WordPress, the link for Download Manger was located on the left with the other management tools, but after upgrade I can’t access it. All the download areas on my site are still working, but I can’t add new files and create new packages – or manage any of the files. Any advice on how to fix this issue?
Hello – I am using the latest WPDM on WP 3.7.1. I have Download Packages with a single file in each. They are protected by Email Lock. Once I moved to Rackspace Cloud Sites the download headers are incorrect and cause the file to be displayed to the screen.
Example Download Link: http://strategicoffsites.com/?wpdmdl=17&_wpdmkey=528d82567210e
Browser Download: http://screencloud.net/v/5IDA
Headers: http://screencloud.net/v/jP5cContent-Type: text/html; charset=UTF-8
I’m not sure if moving to Rackspace Cloud Sites affected this. No plugins have changed, there are no caching plugins in use.
Thank you!
Can someone please explain how to create a hyperlink to a document/package created within Download Manager? I don’t want to use a shortcode, I just want a regular hyperlink to a package created in Download Manager.
I’ve seen this question asked in this forum, but not answered.
Thanks in advance.
