Hello, just bought pro version, but I don’t understand how to get things done.
What I need:
1. Simple file list: File name is link, a click downloads it.
2. Simple file list with password protection: File name is link, a click asks for password, after entering passwort download starts.There a tons of settings, but I can’t find the settings for this simple application.

below the link to download there are next and previous buttons, which lead to other download pages, I want to hide that because this way subscribers are able to download other stuff,
I want to hide it and not just make categories, because even in the same category I want to hide downloads because I am manually making download pages for each subscriber

Great plugin,
When I have a link for a .jsx file (the same is true of a lot of other file types) and download them on most of the browsers the download fine but on Safari the file name gets a .txt added to it so it would become myfile.jsx.txt instead of myfile.jsx
This is a general problem not specific to your download manager but you can fix it so that it would work with your manager.
Google drive has a fix for there download system. They are inserting “application/octet-stream” somehow into the download link which forces Safari to download as is and not add the .txt suffix.
Some people add this or similar fixes to there .htaccess files by I have not have luck with this.

I have tried it without specifying the category, but to no avail.

Just upgraded to 4.2
The MP3 preview player is not working/broken
I get this error message “Error loading: “http://poprox.co.uk/?wpdmdl=3273&_nonce .. inside the playerIt was working fine before I updated. I am on WordPress 4.1
Also .. is it possible to add a video on the download page? I am trying to add an easy media video linked to a youtube video. I get a thumbnail but can’t click to play. Just wondered if there were limitations. Can I upload a video via FTP and link to it?

When I add a new package. Is there a way to set default values (ex. Setting the “Link Label”, Selecting “Allow Inidividual File Download”, or setting the Page and Link Template to default values? That way when I add a package I do not have to remember to always set those values each time.

Yes, you can have download link for each file/package on the category pages, please check here http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/templates/ for more details.
About style, probably your theme overriding this, but need to be adjusted from theme developer.

So it looks like Download Manager and Elegant Themes are not compatible, which is why the download link isn’t displaying on the Category pages and why WPDM templates won’t take effect. If I change to a WP default theme (2015) there is a download link on the category pages, but not when using an Elegant Theme. Is there a work around or fix for this?

Is there away to have a download link for each file/package on the category pages? This way the visitor doesn’t have to continuously click each link to a separate page to download each file?
I have ordered and paid for two renewals in two weeks trying to fix my site that has been broken since the beginning of the year! I have emailed both the support email and the email on the receipt numerous times! I can’t get any support! I can’t contact anyone and the plugin is hiding the download buttons on my site!
I am following every instruction listed on this site and still I get nothing! I get messages my subscription is expired and I can’t download or go into the paid support section but when I enter the TWO ORDER numbers I paid for it says they are already linked to my account!
I need a solution to this problem and I need to get into the support pages and I need to get the latest download that I have paid for TWICE!!
1. Is there a way to modify the downloads page so it does not show “previous post” “Next post”?
2. I am not sure where to grab the link for the page to provide to a user other than copying the slug.
Is there documentation for the plugin?

I’m having issue since updating the plugin. For some reason when I try to download any file it goes back to the homepage.

I still have the same issue with individual downloads, I deactivated all the plugins, but still..nothing
about the support, I never saw support like you, from what I know there should be an EMAIL to send my problem on, not just a forum !!
and about the no real fixes, because actually nothing has been fixed till now, and about harming my business because I already have clients waiting for their download links and didn’t get them yet, because of your delay to answer !!

Is there no way to block access unless referred from a specific domain?
For example, it only downloads if the link is directed/clicked from a domain page?

@rise, I just tested here http://….nl/download/verslagen-2014-2015/ downloads looks like working fine, but individual download link has an issue with v4.1.9 and update is coming tomorrow.
