I have enabled “Enable Email Lock” and selected “After submit form Mail Download Link”. When the download page loads, I’m correctly prompted for my name and email address, I press submit. But the user never receives email message and download link. And the WordPress admin doesn’t receive an email to approve the user.

Sorry for post again 😛 I am using a widget for that reason i did not see the close button, can you check please why in the widget is not showing correctly and the close button is not there, I create a test page named “Pruebas” as you can see the download links in the side bar: http://www.pnc.org.mx/pruebas/

Actually the link template you created was not formatted properly, there was missing html closing tags too. Anyhow I’ve adjusted it and everything is looking fine now, however if you want to change download link style, install image button add-on

I’d like to enable facebook like lock feature for some of my download files, the function is not working correctly.

I want it to work the same as this.. http://www.i-love.boutique/download/owl-cupcake-valentine-cards/ where a download button shows up once they complete the social lock.
Since the last update or two, our download links for individual or package files no longer work. The files are being uploaded to the server correctly (I checked on FTP) but for some reason, the generated url to download the file just refreshes the package page. Also, when I set the settings for partial downloads and output buffering to disabled, they always reset themselves to enabled. Please advise.

I understand the current version is 4.2. When I download the link from the purchases page, I get a link to download-manager-4.1.9.zip.

I have set passwords for the individual files and for the packages but both are giving me the link expired download. I’ve tried different templates and a variation of settings but nothing allows it to work. I would ideally like for just the individual file passwords to be active. HI, I selected a default button for the link templates (with the button plugin).
Can I overrule that in a template, so i want to use a different button in one of the templates.
Do the buttons get ID’s assigned or how can i call for a specific button in the template code?For example can I wrap [download_link] in some css so it uses a different than the default button?
it is not for update, the issue is happening because your link template code is not correct, you used like
<a href="[downloadl_link]">, but[download_link]tag generates full html code for download link, there you need to user[downlaod_url]tag, like<a href="[downloadl_url]">I applied the 4.2 update late yesterday and noticed this morning that all of the pages where I am outputting category lists of files via a shortcode (and also using a custom link template) are generating the following error:

Two other things I noticed:
– It generates the same error when I attempt to preview my link template. The code for my link template is substantially similar to the example shown in the documentation.
– Also, after reading some of the other support posts, I tried to disable the Output Buffering and Resumable Downloads functionality in case that would make a difference. However, it doesn’t seem to stick because if I navigate away from the settings page and come back, these are both enabled even if I just disabled them a few minutes ago… Help!

Thanks for replying.
I understand that the problem is so to speak with safari and not the wpdm plugin.
My point was that just like google uses application/octet-stream to force Safari to download the file as is without adding the .txt suffix so could your plugin.
This would be a big improvement to the plugin. If you examine the code behind this link https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B-FdGXllwjR1U1hTeEtINVg0YTA by clicking the link and then typeing ctrl U (windows) or command U (mac) then you could see how to do it.
It would be great to see if you good do this, keep up the good work,

Please use http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/advanced-tinymce-button/ to generate short-code, there you will see an option to select template, and you need to select Link Template = “Only Link/Button”

The problem was not with the disabled
session_start. In fact it was with the white space at the end ofdownload-manager.phpfile.

Thus request you to incorporate this in your future versions of the download manager
Direct download links now lead to a blank white screen after updating WPDM Pro to the latest version (4.2) on a website I am building.

This is my setup:
I use the archive plugin to show all download packages on one page. Let’s call this page the ‘document-store’. It is a part of a bigger website with other pages.
All packages are into several categories.I am trying to achieve this:
Is it possible to show this hierarchy so that my breadcrumbs always show something like: home > document-store > category > package
and also so that ‘document-store’ keeps the active menu item, even when opening one of the packages.Now the packages are apparently first level posts. The breadcrumbs only show: home > package. The category is neither reflected in the breadcrumbs nor in the permalink.
I have set words in the settings for the base URL structure, but those are only reflected in the URL/permalink, not in the breadcrumb for example.
Can you point me in the right direction?I have created a custom link and page template that I would like to use. I have about 50 downloads. Is it possible to change all of these at once?
Also is it possible to change the the defualt templates to my custom ones? So that way going forward I do not have to select a new one each time.
