Using WPDM pro (latest version I think 4.3).
I’m using [file_list] in order to show files in the cloud (via DropBox plugin) as in picture attached.
My questions:
1) Can I translate the headers?
2) When the user clicks in the link, he goes to drobBox page and I want him to download the file directly. Is it possible?

Hi guys, I want to buy this plugin (see link below) but checking the demo makes me understand that this works regardless of the WPDM Plugin I use normally.
What I want to achieve is create a hosting/upload frontend of my users and those files uploaded will automatically be read by the WPDM Plugin and showcase itself normally using my current theme. BUT what I see with the plugin is that (1) there is no direct link to the file; it looks like an alternative for WPDM.
How can I make this work? Can someone please explain to me how to use this… I want to use it to replace the upload I have currently for WPDM.

I’m having an issue where my users are downloading a file and the wrong file gets downloaded. A number of users already reported this problem. Below is some of the reported issues.
I can’t download it, I think there is something wrong with the links, when I download it, the file is memboost_1959.zip
Everytime i try to download firemin or memory booster or else it’s always download the same file dvd repair. may u update the link please. thx a lot

We are experiencing a serious problem of conflict between Download Manager Pro and Ultimate Members. If this helps, I noticed that in the url referred to by the download link, some (but not all) underscores are casted to ‘%20’

— Package option for zip cachethis can’t be from any regular visitors, except some bot copied the download link and tried to access it repeatedly, max download count could be same or double of page view but not this much. You may check it from your website stats, which IP doing this, but nothing much here to do from wpdm itself, but as I explained earlier, block hotlink can block direct access to download link from external source.
Topic: Open PDF instead of Download
I have a PDF file designated to a specific user using Download Manager Pro and Custom Access Level.
On my website, when someone clicks a link to a PDF, it typically opens up as a new web page. However, when they click a link to the protected PDF, it downloads instead of open.
Is it possible to change this behavior?

I recently moved my site to a folder in a subfolder. No problem in moving, this plugin only gave me this problem. When you try to download the file opens a new tab with the encoded text file, image is that pdf.

————Shahriar, it is now working, but every package on the site is now no longer displaying the icon and more importantly, is now showing the download count which has to be removed URGENTLY. I cannot see anywhere on the package to change that, and I don’t have time to go through every single file making changes. Can you please fix this or tell me a fast way to do it. The website looks really poor at the moment, and I would not have allowed access to the website if I had known you weren’t going to check that the changes you made hadn’t adversely affected the site. I will also post this in the other forum you mention because I can’t wait days for a response.

Can this be due to Facebook bot? these spikes happen when i share the posts containing these download links on facebook and twitter, nd my posts get shared.
can this be the cause?
will the hotlinking extension fix this? or i need other steps?

Can you please be patient and explain how are the bot visits considered hotlinking?
My problem is not users stealing my content!!
Also, if i bought and installed the hotlinking prevention extension, will this prevent me from linking to the files? I have a PDF reader flipbook that i feed the pdfs paths to it so people can read the pdf online.
and also use the worpdress audio shortcode to play some files. will the extension stop this?
Please find attached a screenshot of the hits activity on 1 link that WPDM is saying that it was downloaded 32,075 times, while the page was visited only 972 times.
clearly there are bots activities as the link was visited in one day 45,000 times and in another day 25,000 times. this can’t be legit users.

Problem Description: I use WPML and have two languages, for which I have some downloads in both languages. First of all: The WPML integration works really great. I use the shortcode <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>[download_link_extended] inside my page-template and I use only email-locked-downloads. </span>The shortcode <span style=”line-height: 1.5;”>[download_link_extended] displays english text content, which is hard coded in wpdm-functions.php, i.e. on lines 845, 850, 873, 891, 1526.</span>
Question:
- Do you have a quick-fix / workaround I might use, to display located text content for email-locked-downloads, depending on the language of the download?
- If not, might it be possible to implement this as a feature with an update?

I saw that the old version 4.1.3 had the ability to have a thumbnail generated from a PDF in the link template using [pdf_thumb_WxH]

This feature does not appear in my current version 4.3.0. I need this as all of my downloads are PDF’s. How can we use this feature?
I am currently inserting a JPG in the body area as a thumbnail, but also need it in the link template – can we link to this?

If I change the template on your page test-3 and write:

The page doesn’t change, why? I should see the icone of my package but I don’t!
Same problem on my page http://applexia.fr/bibliotheque-driver/ because in the settings my template is ‘Default with Icon’ and should show the icon, Why?!
I think it’s the same problem with my package page I’ll check.
Please give me an answer asap!
