Thanks, if I use the single-wpdmpro.php file, how can I get the download link?
Can you point me to the right doc.
Thanks
Lay download worked for me, did you updated the package?
Please send me another package link that does not apply lazy download.
1. Download worked on both ( case studies and brochures ) in my test.
2. It is not possible to show image in first page. Archive page sidebar view does not support custom link template.
3. Details page uses Page Template from package settings option. Clone the page template you are using now and remove the [download_link] tag from there and save it. Then set this custom template in your package’s page template option. Download text at the bottom will be removed then.
4. Add following css in your theme’s style.css file to change button color to blue,
.w3eden .btn-primary, .w3eden .flat-primary, .w3eden .flat-primary.btn-bordered:hover { background-color: #000f9f; color: #ffffff; }
Hi,
It is not possible the way you explained.
But, You can use a link template with [file_list]
template tag. It will show list of files with download button.
Thanks.

Hello
i had to force SSL on my working in progress website and now i have two kind of problems with download manager:
1) There are a lot of errors in console of decoding this font:
(index):1 Failed to decode downloaded font: https://www.alisystems.com/wp-content/plugins/download-manager/assets/bootstrap/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff
(index):1 OTS parsing error: incorrect file size in WOFF header
2) When i go to the download page using this shortcut:
[wpdm-archive button_style="info" link_template="link-template-semi-ext" items_per_page="10" category="category-slug" order_by="modified" order="desc"]
The browser go to the correct page and after some second it show 404 page error..
http://www.screencast.com/t/Bj7a6J8Z1mR
For anyone else with the parse error…
The problem files are:
/libs/socialconnect/facebookconnect.php
/libs/socialconnect/linkedinconnect.php
/libs/socialconnect/twitterconnect.php
#1 Make a backup of those 3 files for posterity 😉
#2 If you don’t need them (which i don’t) then edit and delete everything after the <?php
Now you can at least install the update and the download manager works as intended.
Maybe the site-owner can get eventually get around to fixing those 3 files… but judging by the posts in this thread i won’t be waiting
on an update with baited breath :p
Hi,
You can do that by applying email lock in a package. But you need to use link template to show the download button. You can build your custom link template if you want a customized look.
Thanks.
Also! Is it possible to just have a download button on the items? When you click on the PDF title or image it takes you to the package page, can we disable this link?
Hi Shahriar
I have created the link template with the replacement tag. It works here with the brochure but not the case studies. Can you advise?
http://geofabricsdevelopment.com.gridhosted.co.uk/final-cover-systems/
Also, on the download page here http://geofabricsdevelopment.com.gridhosted.co.uk/downloads/ how can I show the first page as an image like i have done on the page above?
And when you link through on clicking “View Details” I just want the one “download” button and not the text that repeats after it?
Can I change the colour of the button to a blue to match the corporate sites colour?
kind regards
Matt
Hi there,
I’m using Download Manager Pro on a site I’m building at the moment. The client has newsletters in PDF format which I am uploading to the site and allowing visitors to download. You can see it in action here: http://makeaspectacle.co.uk/hogg-new/newsletter/
What I would like to do ideally is let the user choose to either view the file online or download it to their computer. I was going to modify the template files to add a link to the file attached to each package, but I couldn’t see this as an option.
Is there a way in which I can link through to the attachment as well as giving the user the option to download it?
Many thanks
Hannah
Hello. I want to ask the user for their email address as soon as they click on a button on my website. I’m using buttons that are built into Visual Composer. How do I make the email form pop up when clicking on a button instead of taking the user to a download page?
I tried adding the #pkg_5123_5819cc549a246 to a button on my site but it doesn’t work
Thanks.
Is there a reason why one does not get any answer from the support (support@wpdownloadmanager.com)? I have sent an email on 27th of october and reminder on 29th (and one more right now) about two serious issues with renewal and new sales through an affiliate link. No reaction at all – not even an auto responder.
Hi,
I cannot figure out how to have some text translated as they are not in the .po file.
For example on this page http://work.syneval.com/comment-changer-de-syndic/ the error message if you validate whithout the email or the “Email Address” or “Send Download Link To:”.
Thank you for your Help.
Hi,
Use TinyMCE button add-on to insert shortcode. Select Cat View Compact and Link template Panel-1/3
You will find Archive Page shortcode options in Other Shortcodes Tab.
Thanks.
Hello,
I’m trying to create my page to look like the below:
http://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page-compact/
I have put the following shortcode in but it doesn’t look the same:
[wpdm-archive button_style=”default” link_template=”link-template-panel” items_per_page=”10″ category=”category-slug” order_by=”field-name” order=”asc|desc”]
What shortcode should I use?
Many thanks
Christina
Hi,
You need Directory Add-on to create the category list shown in that link. This add-on has some other useful shortcodes too.
Thanks.
Hi Shaon,
I must have mis-communicated the problem. What has happened at least 2, maybe 3 times is that things are set up perfectly, then the link to Downloads in Appearances: Menus disappears.
That template is only available with pro version, but as you already have directory add-on, I’m adding the template here for you. Download this:
https://gist.githubusercontent.com/codename065/2a2e16a7a731cdf018c63455fdcd8d75/raw/1a30f1da509eae8370f317e20817492b65f87641/link-template-panel-1-3.php
and put it it /plugins/download-manager/tpls/link-templates/
dir.
For now there is no other way to customize without editing class.FileList.php
, we couldn’t keep it in template file due to some complex conditions with download link. Probably you may try applying some css for the classes used there.
Hi,
We have two separate issues I need to discuss:
Issue 1:
We have a site configured on two different servers. One of them uses Apache and is delivering the downloaded files perfectly fine.
The other uses IIS and files are not being downloaded correctly through the front end. We only ever see “file-not-found.txt” files, or if there are multiple downloads then a ZIP is created which is empty.
Is there anything I need to be aware of in terms of server configuration? Or do you know why this might be the case?
Issue 2:
We use this plugin to protect our file downloads, they should not be publicly accessible. I can however see that the files that we added are publicly accessible (I will not post the link here).
How can we protect the /wp-content/uploads/download-manager-files folder from direct access?
Thanks!
Hi,
Please check the Access type of the file. Then Clear your browser cache. Try downloading again.
If it doesn’t works would you mind providing us with login credentials so we can take a closer look? To do this, you can make a post with the following info:
– Link to your site
– WordPress Admin username / password
