Is this the issue you’re experiencing where attempting to save the package using this link:https://bbsapp.bbs-cux.de:5443/index.php/s/waMjAfKCXBkBM5G
doesn’t work in the current version, although it worked fine with the previous version of the download manager?
Please check and let me know.

Hello,
Thanks for reaching out.
Please provide the wp-login credentials and the video links you’re offering as downloadable content to your users, as this will assist us in quickly identifying the issue.

Hello Tahasin!
Thanks for your answer. You are right, my Short-Link works – but it looks different at the WP-Backend than the older ones.
On our Website we have links from our different courses to information-flyer with the hole input our puples need.
The links to the files in our Nextcloud are longer, like: https://bbsapp.bbs-cux.de:5443/index.php/s/waMjAfKCXBkBM5G – you see, no short ones =)
In the past we had no problems with them to put them in an wpdm download. All (old) links are working fine.
But now they won´t save after we ad them.
Du you know the reason for it? Can i change settings or something like that, so it will work even in new or changed wpdm-downloads?
You can use php file as link/page template, there you can directly use php logics.

Hi!
I´m not longer able to put an Url/Link into a download.
Picture of the problem
The url https://shorturl.at/pd3Hz becomes only pd3Hz after saving.
With other Urls ist the same problem.
What´s wrong with wpdm?
Best regards from Cuxhaven/Germany

The download link will be automatically included and users will receive it via email.
Thanks, I have the Form Lock add-on but it’s still not clear to me how to insert the download link in the email that CF7 sends when the user submits the form.
Thanks for the reply!
I realized I didn’t give enough context. I attached the gif as featured image.
I’m displaying the downloads in a grid, im using the Link Templates.
In the template, I use the thumb_url. (I didn’t see other options at Template Variables, that I could use)
<div class=”__wpdm_square_card” style=”background-image: url(‘[thumb_url_600x600]’);”>
<div class=”__wpdm_square_content”>
<h2 class=”__wpdm_square_title”>[title]</h2>
<p class=”__wpdm_square_description”>[description]</p>
[download_link]
</div>
</div>
Is there any way to display the actual gif I attach to the download as featured image?
I have a very simple use case I want help to achieve.
On my page I have a section that allows users to download a PDF (package) after completing a simple Contact Form 7 form – [your-name] and [your-email] fields.
Upon submission of the form I want to send an email to the user with a unique download link (direct download).
Please can you explain the steps to achieve this.
Hi there, I’m trying to unmuck a client site so I can upgrade the PHP version on their server.
They currently have Download Manager 4.2.2 installed, and it shows the author as “Shaon” but links back to this site. They don’t have a license key set up in the Download Manager settings. I see that the current free version from this site is 3.3.09, with an author of W3 Eden, Inc.
Based on this info, do they have an old Pro version with an expired license? What’s their best option for upgrading to a version that supports modern PHP?
When one uses the wpdm package download elementor component, what one can show is the link-template for the package. What I am looking at is the entire package detail (page-template) in the post, without having to navigate to another link.
Is there a shortcode to embed the entire package (page-template) view on a post?

In Download Manager Pro, you have the ability to create or modify link and page templates, along with access to other key features.

Hi,
I placed the files exactly in the folder structure you mentioned in your last post. Unfortunately, the changes I make to these files don’t apply to the website—it seems like they’re being ignored.
My current structure for editing the header.php file of the Compact layout is:
{active-theme-dir}/download-manager/wpdm-archive-page/Compact/header.php
Regarding the custom fields issue:
I created a new custom field group named “Download Details” containing two custom fields. Now, I want to display the saved values of these two fields inside the card layout of each download.
To achieve this, I used the shortcode [acf_group_DownlodsDetails] inside my link template (FFBD_Default). However, on the frontend, the output is only a table showing the labels without the corresponding values, like this:
<tr>
<td>Zielgruppe</td>
<td></td>
</tr>
Can you please help me understand why this is happening?

Hi, we have a site running download manager pro 5.4.1 which has a custom Link Template that opened up a Vimeo video link in a Lightbox on the same page. The subsequent version of DM Pro broke this feature – I did get in touch with support at the time but you were unable to supply a fix. I have now updated DM Pro to version 6.7.2 on our staging server and see that the custom Link Template still does not work. The Link Template HTML is as follows:
<span class=’plain-link’>[title]</span> <span class=‘plain-link-download’>[video_preview_modal]</span>
Appreciate if you can help me to get this finally resolved. Many thanks.
This shortcodes doesnt work with the search bar. I need to configure the categories in 1 column, 20 downloads per view and with the search bar, but when i activate tool bar the system says “EMPTY” when is not empty the category. please try and solve, in need this operative.

Hi
Please check the link below and scroll to the bottom of the page.
CS2P08-107
The file names used to be displayed in the download area, but they are now blank. Please advise.
I read this topic link: https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_frontend-front-end-uploader-ui/
I created a new page to use the code given here and added the code, I allowed users to add files from the settings.
So how will file adding appear in the user panel? I couldn’t figure this out.

Nayeem, I’ll try once more:
I ALREADY DID submit a feature request in that specific forum, as I’ve said several times already…..I submitted it 9 months ago.
If you allowed attachments here, I’d post a screenshot but since you don’t, then all I can do is link to it, AGAIN:
Feature Requests
At the very top of that forum and my post it has this: Home / Topics / Download Manager Pro Feature Request / Feature Requests
SO I KNOW it’s posted already in the right forum.
