We run a local wordpress version as a intranet solution. I have installed Download Manager Pro in Version 4.7.2. I try to display the categories on a page therefore i have used the shortcode [wpdm-categories subcat="1" showcount="1" cols="1" ]. The categories are displayed an have a valid link. As soon as i click the category i see an empty page.
I can access the uploadeds files directly and i can alos display them and download them. The only thing which is not working is the category-view.
Any ideas?
Our template ist WofficeVersion: 2.5.6.

I’ve updated to 2.9.59, the newest version it offered. The problem still persists, however.
It concerns the website Mutualfund.nl. One of the pages/downloads that should not be accessible to regular visitors, but only to registered users, is https://www.mutualfund.nl/download/2017-10-persoonlijke-update-vincent-peters/.
This post is part of the Downloads category ‘Persoonlijke bestanden’ which we’ve declared in the category settings for your plugin should not be accessible to ‘all visitors’ and subsequently only to the roles ‘subscriber’ and up. Even though the page/download I linked to is only part of this category and no other, it is still accessible.
I’m guessing the accessiblity setting is being overridden by a post-specific setting which I cannot update in bulk, but I’m not sure and that wouldn’t be a sollution, since it’s not updatable in bulk.
Any idea?

The site is a resource for programmers. Only a very few people will be uploading code. The HTML code is for Webforms and the JS scripts are for GreaseMonkey browser scripts.
As some point it worked. I upgraded the free version to “Pro” in order to use the other features, like multiple-file uploads.
I don’t want to ‘pack’ the files into .zips because this adds an additional step for all the people downloading the code.
I can upload the files using ftp without a problem. My hosting company does not restrict that. When I link the uploaded files and try to download, I get: Invalid File Type (.js)!
I fully understand the security risks and want this capability to work.

How do I upload download manager records from css using the CSV Import Add-on when. the records point to a url not a specific file. I could not find a field to map the url to. I tried mapping it to the wpm:files field but this did not work.
1. No, the form lock won’t start the subscription system like us. For starting the subscription we offer different addon. The form lock just collects the emails and send the download link to that email.

Actually. If I am suscriber I have both access to all folder also those which are only allowed to contributors !!!!

When you enable the lock option, the download buttons hide. Cause that is the real download link to the file.

Custom templates that you create using our Template editor are stored in the database. Using Bootstrap in the template is your choice. If you don’t want to use Bootstrap, that’s okay too.
You can also use a file to add custom templates. In that case template files will be stored in /your-theme/download-manager/link-templates or /your-theme/download-manager/page-templatesdir based on template type. Just add the template info above the file

I’m having some trouble with the shortcodes. I’m trying to test out the different link template and display all downloads within specific categories. I’m using this shortcode:

Download works when you use the package download link, not the single file download button. I know it is not the solution, just pointing the origin of the issue.
From Membership Settings Advanced page enable the Show WPDM package info option. That will block the download link only.

I create a package and make it so that it has the viewing rights of Subscriber and Superadmin. My site is Finnish so I think that it doesn’t recognize my rights when I then try to access the package as “Pääkäyttäjä” (Superadmin) and the package layout is single column with doc preview. When I change the viewing rights to all visitors the preview and everything works correctly.
Try to change a test sites language to something else than english and then create package that has the layout of single column with doc preview, the viewing rights set as something else than all visitors. Then try to view the package and it will say “You don’t have the rights to download this item”, but the downloading link still works. Just not the .pdf preview of the package or when trying to open to a new window.
If you can’t do the error then I’ll set up a dummy site instead of a live customer site.
Right now, I have the Email Lock set to “Mail Download Link”. When visitors get the link and download the document and takes them to a blank page and doesn’t really notify the user in any meaningful way that there download is complete. Is there a suggested way to handle this (ie. redirect)?
