    Hi,

How do I translate the text on the download button (class wpdm-download-button, code [download_link])? I cannot find the string in Loco Translate nor in any regular (php) file when I search for it.

    Thanks,
    Rob

Our site crashed yesterday to the WP 5.5 debug mode after encountering an error in Download Manager. I was able to restore the site by deactivating Download Manager. I installed the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper that was suggested in the following article.

    Helpdesk Article
I understand that WP has a fix for the problem that will be released on 9/2/2020. Here is the text of the diagnostic email if it is helpful.

Since WordPress 5.2 there is a built-in feature that detects when a plugin or theme causes a fatal error on your site and notifies you with this automated email.

In this case, WordPress caught an error with one of your plugins, Download Manager.

First, visit your website (https://irch.com/) and check for any visible issues. Next, visit the page where the error was caught (https://irch.com/wp-login.php) and check for any visible issues.

Please contact your host for assistance with investigating this issue further.

If your site appears broken and you can’t access your dashboard normally, WordPress now has a special “recovery mode”. This lets you safely login to your dashboard and investigate further.

To keep your site safe, this link will expire in 1 day. Don’t worry about that, though: a new link will be emailed to you if the error occurs again after it expires.

When seeking help with this issue, you may be asked for some of the following information:
    WordPress version 5.5
Current theme: Divi Child (version 1.0.0)
Current plugin: Download Manager (version 5.1.20)
    PHP version 7.2.33

    Hello,

    You have said,

Woo Custom Emails Per Product to send a specific email that I want to contain a link to my download

you can use the above process.

    Thanks.

This isn’t helping me at all. Can you tell me the exact process? I’m selling a service on woocommerce – I’m using Woo Custom Emails Per Product to send a specific email that I want to contain a link to my download. Please tell me the code to put in the email.

    I have used [wpdm_package id='7362'] and this doesn’t work.

Hi – I have upgraded to wordpress 5.5 and find the download links no longer function.

I have tried downgrading to wordpress 5.4.2 but the problem persists which suggests the problem is not caused by wordpress 5.5.

    Is there a known issue?

You can use Email Lock feature as well as there is an add on called Form Lock for the email download link, you can see this article for email lock feature https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/how-to-build-your-email-list-faster/ also you can see this add on too, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wpdm-form-lock/

    Thanks.

I’m using woocommerce to sell three services. Each service requires the purchaser to download files. I want to be able to securely include download links in the ‘thank you for your purchase’ email but I can’t find the code to do it. Am I missing something as I can’t see this issue on the forum either.

Just run WPML plugin again and the problem still exists.

I downgrade the Download Manager from 5.1.2 back to 5.0.95.
Then the issue was solved. You can check that link.

I assume 5.1.20 upgrade causes some issues with WPML.
Would you like to help me take a look?

The functionality was as described above. We have one download manager page created with the WPDM Archive Page add-on with multiple categories. We had the ability to deep link to a specific category on that page using a query string variable called category. So, when the page was loaded, the category in the query string was already selected.

Thanks for following up, but the issue I’m having is related to downloads, not uploads. We’ve successfully uploaded a 900MB file to WP Download Manager, but when we try and download the file through the WPDM download link, it stops when the file hits 500MB. The download doesn’t fail, but rather once the file hits 500MB downloaded, the total file size listed in the download bar jumps from 900MB to 500MB and the download thinks it has completed, even though ~50% of the file is missing.

Is there any other information you can provide?

The section App Card based on the Attire theme and link templates, https://themes.wpdownloadmanager.com/attire/, you can also see the demo in the provided link.

    Thanks.

    Hi,
you can follow the link below documentation,

    Template Files

by default, you are using link-template-default.php for link template and page-template-default.php for the page template. As documentation, you have to copy the file in the theme directory naming a folder called download-manager, then paste it in tpls>page-templates for page template or tpls>link-templates for link template. And you have to replace [download_link] with <a href="[download_url]" class="btn btn-primary" target=_blank>[link_label]</a> in related php file.

    Thanks.

Download button links are not working.
Actually there is a /download/# at the end of the link of every document
I have installed version 5.1.20 and wordpress 5.5

Hi, I have found the solution to the problem I had if someone else will have the same issue it might be helpful.
So after updating Download Manager from version 5.0.8 to version 5.1.2 all download links send to the email address were invalid.

To solve this issue I have logged in into my WordPress Admin go to the Settings and I have put completely random
WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL)

When I saved changes WordPress kicked me out and everything started to work
(the WordPress Address (URL) and Site Address (URL) has not been changed). So I assume there were some settings which have not been refreshed or well I do not know, but even now when I do the staging copy of my website with Download Manager 5.1.2 installed I need to do this steps in order to make this plugin work.

So this is something that someone from support could look at.

Hope this will be useful for someone.

I can close this issue as now everything works just fine.
    Thanks for your help.

    Hello people

    I need help.

I need that when the user clicks the download button like the example below, discount (-1 downlaod) from his daily download limit.

At the moment when you click on the button it redirects to the link, uploads the file, but does not count the download.

    Example:
    < a href=” https://www.photopea.com#%7B%22files%22:% 5B% 22 [download_url]% 22% 5D,% 22environment% 22:% 7B% 7D% 7D” > Download </ a>

It would be a Download Manager WordPress category Page. I know I have the numbers at the bottom of the category pages but it would be great if I could have a Back or Previous button at the top of the page that goes to whatever page the user came from. So if they are on the home page and selects one of the category links there should be a Back button on that category page to get them back to the homepage.

    Is this possible?

    Thanks for your response.

Do you have a link with guidance to do what you are suggesting? Where is “Downloads > Templates”? I would like to investigate.
