Since the update to version 6.0, zipped downloadables are not working correctly.
For example, if a download package contains 3 PDF-files, these will be compressed to a zip-file containing the 3 files. However, since the update to version +6.0 the zip-file contains only 1 PDF-file (the first mentioned in the WPDM package).
Upon inspection, version 6.0 changed the file paths to the PDF-files. The first file (contained in the ZIP) is linked to the relative path of the PDF (and working), the other files – however – are linked to absolute paths and are not taken into account when packaging the zip.
Please fix this ASAP, since i have 100s of download packages with zipped files.
There are a lot more errors since 6.0 (worst update ever), but the abovementioned error is BIG and should be fixed ASAP. Please confirm.
Hello there. I upgraded to 6.0 and also upgraded to Advanced Access Control 3.0.5
The shortcode [wpdm_my_downloads] is now showing 0 downloads for users.
If the user knows the direct download link he/she can access it and can download. Other users can’t (as it’s supposed to be), so the security is set correctly for the download, but the shortcode will still show 0 downloads for that user.
Any ideas?
Sir I am using custom code from wpdm_all_package which you created for me. with that Responsive table I am using the Page_url instead of the download link. when the user click on the download button it is opening package page in new tab. so in this update when I am replacing that wpdm-all-downloads.php code. then the table goes hide. sol please set the new update table for me according to my old wpm-all-downloads.php file. when the user clicks on the download button it shall open the package URL in a new tab.
also, that new update responsive table has no scroll to top feature. when the user changes the page the table shall go to the top.my old wpdm_all Packge PHP file
Problem No2.
after 6.02 now when I am clicking on the download button it says the critical problem in my website. file not downloading.
Problem No3.
Package Duplicate Feature Not Working.
We are running WP Multisite 4.98, DM 5.094. We have made no changes to our system or app other than updating our cloudflare cert on Monday, July 5. As of Tuesday, July 6, all downloads were working. We discovered on Friday, July 9 that many of them were generating a 500 error.
Pertinent Notes and Testing
– We updated our cloudflare certificates on July 5. At tis time we received a 500 error on any downloads. We had to clear cache on sites with download manager to get downloads working again.
– We disabled caching for a specific document link, cleared, cache and the error still occurs.
– Logged in users do not receive a 500 error.
– We compared the database, WP records and fileserver for packages that work and package that do not and cold find no difference.
– It appears that possibly download manager posts created before 2/1/2019 work vs. those created later but as we have 1000s of files distributed across 300+ sites it is difficult to confirm. There were no significant updates to our app at that time.
– New packages always generate the error.
We have no issues with files uploaded in the media library but if we create a package and point it to a media library file, it still fails.

We could schedule a time to do a remote session where you can see the servers and database with us navigating. At this point, we need some immediate guidance on what to look for that may be causing the issues.
Please note: we are unable to upgrade WordPress or Download Manager at this time to test due to the complexity of our configuration. However, everything was working earlier this week. We have been long time users of your product and are probably the largest. We would really appreciate immediate expert technical assistance on this issue. Let us know if there is additional information we can provide.

At this stage I already have updated all the WPDM plugins. This is not related to me not updating everything since the mayhem of v6.0 was released.

Sorry to hear about the issue.
As template and shortcode structure has been updated, Please remove the
link_template="app_card"from the shortcode then update. It will work. then you can again add new link template ID by following this. It will solve the issue.Thanks

WPDM – Archive Page – Version 4.1.4
WPDM – Extended Short-codes – Version 2.9.0
WPDM – TinyMce Button – Version 2.9.0

Thanks, I think I have fixed the problem by using a different format for the archive page.
One more question – the download link button on the archive page displays as a large button, whereas it displays as a small button everywhere else on the site. Is there a way to force the small button to display on the archive page as well?

Thanks for the response. I used the search feature to find what I was looking for.
<a href="#unlock" class="wpdm-download-link wpdm-download-locked" data-package="1639">[thumb_700x400]</a>I was able to create a emaillock popup form to work with an image and CTA widget – setting the Classes as in the above example and adding an Attribute as data-package|1639 – works well.

I’m sorry, but I’m unsure on where to add this shortcode. We’re currently using the “wpdm_user_dashboard” shortcode on the general download page.

Thanks. That did work but it’s not featured in the documentation. However the link its not opening in the light box as the code seems to suggest it would. Does it need any other components installed for this to work?

Firstly, could you have a search feature just within the forum? Over 16k of topics and you can’t search for keywords.
I’m using Elementor. I want to use an image widget and use a shortcode to download a PDF that has EmailLock enabled. How do I do this? Can’t work it out.
Finally, I added ‘Direct Download Link’ widget to a page in Elementor – now I can’t delete this widget. Bug here I think. I have all the latest plugin updates.

Hi,
After I updated to the new version (3.2.03) the custom icons I have chosen for the different file uploads dont show. I have tried to re-apply the icons, but they don’t seem to change. The custom icons show up just fine in the Download Manager settings in WordPress, but only the standard icons actually show on my site. I have also turned caching off.
I also had changed to hide [page_link] and only show [title] on the “download bar”. This also is changed, and the link is back.
Is there a way to fix these issues?

Topic: Cannot download version 6
I cannot download any of the version 6 files. The link on my download page still shows version 5.4.0 as the most recent version. This seems to happen every time there is a new version available.
Regarding ‘All Packages’ which we us a lot, since the version 6 upgrade, the JS table isn’t working properly. I wanted the initial view to show date order descending. (Newest at the top), also the icons have stopped showing.
Previously I changed the code so that the title had the direct file download link. Can this option be included?Here’s my shortcode
