In version6.x.xWPDM codebase has been rebuilt from the ground.
So, the directory got more organized in that process.
You will find the Template override the latest instruction in the below link.
Also, yes, since you are using WPDM Pro so, template cloning is the most appropriate way.
In order to bulk apply the modified template, you can use the below add-on.

Sir, I used another default page template, now I can see the like option, but the download button is not showing after like the Facebook page.

Here is the Problem if i do a Downloadlist to Page – i cant not login. We use Divi as Theme but on all standardthemes 2021 or some it is not working the form shows not correctly: https://staging.dumberger-bau.de/downloadliste/ -(user: admin pass: 24Dumberger24!) – In Settings > Frontend > is clean loginform and with or without “modal login form” – nothing is working.
And second issue is: i configured the list to put all Downloads to the cart. But if i clicked in Cart/Checkout to send the link – no E-Mail was send.. – All other E-Mail out of WP works correctly –
please help, i cant set this Pro-Plugin to work correctly. – thx alex

Yes, an attached directory is a WPDM Pro feature only.
You may keep using the license into your dev site for 15 days, however, even if you activate/use the license in your dev site, it is not a problem, you can unlink the dev site from your order details page here and use the license key in your production site when you move your site to the production server.

I’ve just completed the update 4.9.8 > 6.0.8 for a multisite installation (20+ subsites). Everything went great except that my two custom templates (page and link) now duplicated for each site. So I had two and now there are two for each site (all 40+ templates) appear with unique id’s. While everything works, its not ideal for us if we want to make a global change.I wanted you to be aware. Perhaps I could delete all the duplicates and then go into each download package and widget and change the template, but that would be more than a day’s work to get that done.
So – the goal would be for it NOT to happen again on the next update!!!

I readded the files and double-checked that they work. Is it because I am using linked files and not files that are hosted from my own website perhaps?
If that is the case, how do I remove the download package option? Do the files require hosting on my own website in order to have them downloadable as a .ZIP file?

Thank YouHi there – hoping you can help resolve this issue. One of the files we have set up in wp Download manager appears to have been downloaded by an unidentified guest user. The file permissions are set to only site members and administrators so unsure if this is a genuine aunauthorised download issue or a data tracking issue (i.e. that the file was actually downloaded by an authorised user and just not appropriately flagged / labelled in the history. I did notice that the Yoast SEO settings for this particular file had been left at the default settings which were allowing search engines to index and follow links so not sure if this could potentially have been related to the source of the issue but either way I have tested navigating to the direct file link in a non logged in browser and can confirm that I cannot gain access to the download. Need to try and get to the bottom of the issue asap to give client confidence that their files are secure. Hoping you can shed some light!

We found that the errors are generating due to the[image_gallery_400x400x4]tag.
We suggest you do not use[image_gallery_400x400x4]except you are attaching only images, you can usefile_list_extendinstead.

Also, you don’t need to uninstall/reinstall the plugin how but if you do so it will not harm your settings.
However, currently changing the thumbnail in the Video Preview Template is not possible.
You can add it as a feature request here.

When a purchase is complete, the customer is taken to the purchases page and can click on any order to see the order details.
The file(s) purchased are listed, but when they are clicked, the user is taken to the item description page where there is an add to cart button. There is no way to download any of the purchased files, and no download link.
Can you help?

I have not received a reply yet, but have done more testing.
I am using the Email Lock as well.
This was the URL that was being generated that was not working:

Everything worked fine with the download_link_extended short code.
The file downloaded fine.So it seems the issue here is the email lock which may have a bug?
I hate updating things because things break. Sure enough, I did an update and this is now broken on my site.
After reading another user’s thread, it sounds like this is a big issue!
My customers right now are complaining and cannot download our documentation. This is a VERY urgent issue.
I am now updated to the version 6.0.8 download manager plugin.
We are using WordPress 5.3.9I am using the download_link_extended in my template.
When I click on the download button on my webpage using an embed short code, it simply shows an error page that says:
There has been a critical error on your website.Please test this by clicking the documentation tab on the following link and trying to download the ‘User Manual’
