So, you do not want users to signup on your site. Just want to list them in Downloads Subscribers page and after your approval you want the user to have access to the file.
You have to enable email with ” Wait For Approval” option to do that. I have set this up for this package http://zgemma.org.uk/download/backup-softu-openatv-6-2-zgemma-h9-2s/ You have to repeat the setting for all other packages.

Hi Shariar
I checked and the Private Download Links Usage Limit was set to 3 – I increased it to 300 and it still gives the same message.
In any case, you get the same problem if you try to download the file from our normal downloads page “downloads.acfconsultants.com”, and the problem arises with all previous files too.
Please can you send me a link to download the previous version 4.9.7 (Pro) until the issue is resolved?
Thanks
Lawrence
Hi I think It is posted.
you need to follow the following steps after you update to v2.7 from v2.6:
Go to Admin Menu Downloads Settings Migrate tab
You will see all files you created with v2.6
Now select around 20-30 files at a time
And click “Save Settings” button
Continue the process for all of the files there
So you have migrated all data from v2.6 to v2.7
Sorry about the trouble, but now you need to re-assign categories to packages
Download and install Advanced TinyMce Button Add-on
You can use the add-on to generate short-codes
As you know, now you can get more free add-ons from here http://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/downloads/free-add-ons/
Hello – Any help with this? This problem is preventing any downloads on my client’s live site. Thanks.
Edit regarding the “send download link.” The link is valid and allows the download basically if you look at it immediately. Although it allows a usage limit of 3 and expiration after 60 minutes. Not sure if that issue is related or not.
Hi,
I purchased and installed the WPDownloadManager Plugin. I’m using the Astra theme. How can I display the digital downloads exactly like the demo? Located here: https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/
I have the plugins required. I also have the Crypto theme. I’d like to continue using Astra, but have my site downloads page look “exactly” like the demo.
How can this be done?
Thank you
Hello,
Today i updated to WPDM 4.9.8 and suddenly my site experienced issues, the archive shortcodes stopped working and at the same time i was locked out of my backend. Only removing the archive plugin via ftp let’s me back in.
The server log displays this:
[Mon Jun 24 08:29:21.641165 2019] [error] [pid 20978] mod_proxy_fcgi.c(860): [client 194.XX.XXX.XX:XXXX] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Uncaught Error: Call to undefined function wpdm_tpl_path() in /data/sites/web/skyluxdownloadsbe/www/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-archive-page/wpdm-archive-page.php:67\nStack trace:\n#0 /data/sites/web/skyluxdownloadsbe/www/wp-content/plugins/wpdm-archive-page/wpdm-archive-page.php(332): WPDM_ArchivePage->_archivePageWithSidebar(Array)\n#1 /data/sites/web/skyluxdownloadsbe/www/wp-includes/shortcodes.php(325): WPDM_ArchivePage->_archivePage(Array, ”, ‘wpdm-archive’)\n#2 [internal function]: do_shortcode_tag(Array)\n#3 /data/sites/web/skyluxdownloadsbe/www/wp-includes/shortcodes.php(199): preg_replace_callback(‘/\\\\[(\\\\[?)(wpdm\\\\-…’, ‘do_shortcode_ta…’, ‘[wpdm-archive c…’)\n#4 /data/sites/web/skyluxdownloadsbe/www/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/widgets/shortcode.php(130): do_shortcode(‘[wpdm-archive c…’)\n#5 /data/sites/web/skyluxdownloadsbe/www/wp-content/plugins/elementor/includes/base/widget-base.php(501): Elementor\\Widget_Shortcode->render()\n#6 /data/sites/web/skyluxdown…\n’

I guess you have already found the solution for this. Anyway, if someone else facing the same issue, please check this ticket https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/support/topic/file_list-no-longer-allows-individual-downloads-even-if-enabled/
After more testing, I find that when not logged into wordpress, I can download all pdf files under 1.4mb. all files over 1.4mb fail to load. If I am logged into wordpress, I can download all files with no problems.
I need a fix quickly. We have customers complaining that they can’t get their downloads. If we can’t get this fixed, we’ll have to use another tool or process for downloads.
Download page is: https://www.gsaglobal.org/download/2019-silicon-summit/
Fantastic! Thank You!
Another little request: I would like to improve a download manager for my clients. All my clients will be have a restricted area with more category downloads (I’ll create one single page for any categories). Any page have this structure: CATEGORY (list of all documents of this category) and ARCHIVE (list of all documents expired).
My first question is: is possible to move automatically one document (after expired) from CATEGORY to ARCHIVE?
My second (and last) requirement is the following: my clients have sub-clients. Would it be possible to maintain the structure described above by splitting CATEGORY and ARCHIVE?
Example:
CATEGORY
– SUB-CLIENT 1 (list of all download file)
…..
– SUB-CLIENT N (list of all download file)
ARCHIVE
– SUB-CLIENT 1 (list of all exipred file)
…..
– SUB-CLIENT N (list of all expired file)
To hide the restricted package in category shortcode set “Hide Everything” in Downloads Settings Basic When user is not allowed to download: option.
To hide the toolbar set toolbar=0
in your category shortcode.
Adding multiple files. Bulk downloads (Zip files) are allowed, but stop displaying individual download links. I have set my global settings to allow individual downloads, but it does not appear when adding individual packages to allow downloads.
I am running 4.9.7 with WordPress 5.2.2.

Any Page Template which uses the [file_list] template tag has stopped showing individual download links. I have a global setting to allow individual downloads, and even if I additionally set an individual package to allow the downloads, it doesn’t show up.
Interestingly, the [file_list_extended] syntax does show individual download links.
In the attached image you can see the [file_list] tag at top (no download buttons) and the [file_list_extended] tag below it (yes download buttons).
I appreciate any help. I am running 4.9.7 on WordPress 5.2.2. Thank you!
Yes, you can easily remove the link from package title.
Clone the link template you are using ( looks like a Call To Action template ) from Downloads Templates page. Then replace the following part,
<a href="[page_url]">[title]</a>
with just [title]
and save it.
Then use this custom link template in your shortcode.

Hi,
You have to create orders as a guest ( without logging in ) and then assign the order to your old clients. There is no bulk approach to do it. For each customer create one order.
1 ) Before checking out make sure you have added all packages that you want your clients to have access to.
2 ) Just click the pay now button.
3 ) The go to your Downloads Orders page and complete order and payment status from order details.
3 ) Assign the order to your client using their user id.
Thanks.
Just install it as a plugin from Plugins Add New Upload. After activation you will find the QR Code in Downloads Settings API page. Scan the QR using WPDM iOS app to connect.
You missed the category
in your cols
parameter of all packages shortcode. Please check the shortcode doc for a detailed explanation https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_all_packages-list-all-downloads-in-tabular-format-in-a-page/
Or send login info in private reply. I will update your shortcode accordingly.
About 2 weeks ago we log the individual download links that were on a Package Page. The “Download Package” is still available, however we can no longer download the package contents individually. I have attached screenshots of our settings.
Any help is much appreciated.
Hello,
I’m using Woocommerce Memberships (WCM) to restrict content on my site. While there is an option to restrict Downloads in the WCM UI, it is ineffective – documents are still downloadable.
Using the WPDM Package Settings > Allow Access, I can select user roles, but that is not enough. I would like to be able to restrict content using the WCM rules.
Is there someplace I can insert a hook or something that will follow the WCM rules?
Thanks for any suggestions.

So all was working two days ago until my site went live (at this time site moved from temp url to real one – not sure if this caused issue – hosting helpdesk verified all URLs transferred).
I went to add a new download for a new post and on previews and test it says “download error”. At one point it said, “this is embarrassing…” but this was fixed by hosting.
Please help I upload documents in stamper for downloads and previews are failing. I need to have watermarked documents for download and need to get this working.
Do you want to replace the download button with a link to the pacakge details page? Yes, it is possible. You can add the details page link with the package title too. Please read the shortcode documentation here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_all_packages-list-all-downloads-in-tabular-format-in-a-page/
If you need help with that send temporary wp-admin login info in private reply.
This looks somewhat similar to our all downloads table. Please check the demo here https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/package-list-in-responsive-table/ It is available in Pro version, no add-on required.
The table is customizable. You will find related documentation here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_all_packages-list-all-downloads-in-tabular-format-in-a-page/
Could someone explain to me how I could click on the order link sent in an email, 5 test transactions ago, could produce an order details page with the current order ID and downloads? When I try it that way, I’m able to download the most recent order. Please see the attached screenshot. I’m trying to figure out if this is a caching issue. Can’t find how the order/cart is stored (cookie or some other means) so that I can make changes to settings in WP-Rocket to “never cache.” I’ve tried never caching /orders/, /cart/, and /cancel/ which seemed to help. But I’ve never been able to place an order and download in the same session from the order details page – always produces a “download link is expired” message. Only able to download in the scenario above, some time after the initial sale.
Both sets of credentials are still valid if you’d like to go in and take a look. Basically I need to understand why so much of these transactions is being stored or cached, I think that might be the solution to why I keep getting expired link messages. Any thoughts are appreciated.
Scott
Thank you for your response, much appreciated.
Unfortunately it does seem to wor. The download counter does show three downloads, but the file size remains empty. Putting in the file size manually is not an option for me. We are talking about more than 1,000 files…
