new update of directory add on has missing “languages” folder. I’ve created it under plugins/wpdm-archive-page/ and copied my own translations and now it works again…

Also:
– now it properly does not show all-downloads until you select a category BUT breadcrubs still show “Home All downloads” (make no sense).
– my translation works on HOME ALL DOWNLOADS on initial page opening. BUT when I select a category and go back (click “HOME”), the translation does not work anymore for breadcrumbs.

Btw, is there a way, thru css perhaps, to change category listing button width and height?

This would be very useful when there’s not many categories, but there is many downloads and especially with longer file titles.

believe I have figured out a workable solution with the lates release of Download Manager. I am able to use a direct link to a download manager category page and have the listing show the search and link template of my choice. However, the title of the category and breadcrumbs are missing. I have turned off all other plugins except download manager, the archive page, default values and tiny mce add-on and switched to the 2019 theme to verify that there are no conflicts with your plugin.

I did some research and I think that I finale have an idea of how to set up the system using your plugins. I have 2 questions for you:
1) Can I have packages sell both as single products and via subscriptions? So for if the user has a subscription with 3 monthly downloads and spends those 3 monthly downloads can that user buy a new package separately? And can subscribers with the monthly free downloads download packages with the prices at all?

2) On the WP Pro Membership page (https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/download/wp-pro-membership/) there is a list of supported payment gateways:

PayPal – Integrated
Authorize.net – Integrated
2Checkout – Add-on
Stripe – Add-on
Alipay – Add-on
Paystack – Add-on

There is no Coinbase payment gateway in a list, although you send me a link to it. So does this addon supports Coinbase or not?

ok it’s installed correctly now – the license was still registered to the old site but that is fixed. However I still don’t see any emails being sent when a user downloads a package..

Hi There,

I have managed to get to the bottom of this issue with our hosting support. The issue is cache related as when cache is turned off on the site all of the downloads seem to be working. The cache is still turned off currently (for the whole site) but are you able to let me know what files need to be excluded so we are able to reenable it for the rest of the site.

Downloads all seem to fail at approx 500mb (see screenshot):

This is being reported by several users and I am able to replicate in both Chrome and Safari browsers.

Do you have recommended PHP INI settings I can check?

Any news about this problem?
The downloads of some users are also not saved in the sql-table.
So the question is still: why downloads shown for some users and not for other users (all users have the same privileges)

I mentioned in my previous reply that we’ve tested all of those methods for increasing the memory limit on the server, none of which resolves the issue.

Just to be sure, I just tested all three solutions again by adding a memory limit of 2048M to each. The memory allocation error persists when setting both Resumable Downloads and Output Buffering to false. These memory limit directives are still in place if you’d like to test yourself.

Please let me know if there’s another possible solution.

This is not linked to an add-on but to the general way to let clients to subscribe to newsletter. I’m using mailchimp (so the mailchimp add-on), but this is valuable information for any e-mail management add-on…

The way WPDM works the website owner decides to subscribe all customers or no one by default. I decide this in the settings :

With this way of doing things, the customer cannot choose to be subscribed. There is no checkbox that he can check to say he wants the newsletter or not.
This is against GDPR law in Europe.
To be GDPR compliant, there should be a checkbox that the customer can check / uncheck during the checkout process.

Like in this example :

If the customer cannot choose whether he wants to get the newsletter, it’s not GDPR compliant and I risk getting fined for it…

This is just for regular paid downloads in my case. Of course, this is not for email locked downloads, as the client is aware that he has to subscribe in order to get the download.

Hope it’s easier to understand this way.
