Hi Nayeem, when im logged in again the whole UX of the WP Downloads plugin has reverted to the old style interface. I can’t see any way way to edit this plugin to get it to do what we need to to do with any sort of ease. Can we just request a full refund on this. Its not really doing what we need it to do. It shouldn’ be this hard to try and configure.
If you can let me know who to get a refund I’ll then remove the plugin from the site.

there should be 6 downloads to appear in 6 different tiles / images. All are setup in the packages section.
Hello Michael,
Hope you are well. Can you please check the doc here,
[wpdm_category] – Query All Downloads From One or More Categories
You can use orderby
parameter from here and put the value as title
for your alphabetical order. please check and let me know if it works for you.
Thank you and regards
Hi Nayeem
Thanks, the display issue now seems to be resolved. However we’re still having issues trying to even get these to show on our website.
1. HOME PAGE DISPLAY
We have created the package, created the category, assigned the category to the packages. I want to display all the packages (we have 6 in total) using the ‘IMAGE HOVER’ (template) which I’ve imported. But where do we find the shortcodes to actually display this on a page. Can’t seem to find any help docs on this or how to implement this.
2. LANDING PAGE DISPLAY
I then want to display each of the 6 packages separately on 6 different pages. I want these to display individually using the ‘Template Name: Call To Action 3’ template. Again I can’t see how to do this?
3. DOWNLOADS PAGE DISPLAY
For the ‘List Packages’ display. Is it possible to have our own filters in the drop down? Ie a dropdown menu with 6 categories (or tags) that people can filter by, as opposed to only being allowed to filter by the preset publish date etc / sort by ascending / descending. This is how we want this section to display – https://try.wpdownloadmanager.com/archive-page-compact/

We’re using the Packages (Query Download Manager Packages) widget in our website. It generally works fine, but is missing the Title option in the sort selector appearing in the Block Settings. The only options we’re getting are:
– Publish Date
– Update Date
– Downloads
– Views
– Price
How can we get Title to appear as an option? It seems this should be here by default, but is curiously absent.
Hi,
There is actually no issue, you are seems to be seeing less unique downloads due to all guest downloads and all guests are treating as a single user with uid 0. However, we are working on it so that individual guest users are identified by IPs.
I am having the same issue. GoogleBot going crazy indexing the same PDFs over and over due to the random refresh parameter being added to the URL. I tried the Unmask Download Link and this did not remove the parameter. I also tried switching to a file uploaded to the WordPress Media library, this did not help. I then tried the Beta feature to activate flat download URL. For both the Download Manager and Media files I get a Page Not Found error. I have tested with the site cache off.Cleared my browser cache. Not sure where to go from here. I do not want to noindex the PDF downloads although may need to for now as Google is putting a significant load on the server from all of the downloading.

Preview will work for public ( All Visitors ) downloads only.

Hi,
I am not able to provide a proper link because all of my /downloads are private by default of Ultimate Member. But here’s a screenshot of what I’m talking about. The one encircled with red, how can we remove that via CSS maybe or a setting?
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1p2BBaOBf1wxUrCJRZHEMQ7PGYuRd_3VJ/view
Because if someone clicks that popout button, they can just copy the URL and share the Google URL outside and it’s accessible publicly.
Here’s the link that can pops-out after clicking that button and anyone can access it: https://docs.google.com/viewerng/viewer?url=https://cashflowproject.ca/download/1-survey-list-all-in-one/?ind%3D0%26filename%3D1.-Survey-List-All-In-One.pdf%26wpdmdl%3D466%26refresh%3D634b821a01d9e1665892890%26open%3D1
Thanks
Hello Jeremy Purdy,
Hope you are well. You shall find them from Downloads > Templates
and these templates need to be imported, Go to the import template option inside templates and import any template you want as I image shared,

marshindustries.net – all downloads say page not found
I understand that, but why are none of the subscribers showing up in the download history?
Using August as an example, filtered between 2022-08-01 and 2022-08-31, it shows all downloads as ‘guest’, apart from 2 subscribers.
In the subscriber list, it shows 527 users downloading something throughout August.
Why do these users not show in the download history – that is an issue and is causing further issues with our relationship with our client.
We have another site pending that would potentially need to use this system, but it relies on this being sorted.
Hello Jorge,
You have to use categories parameter in the shortcode.
categories: use the parameter if you want to show the table for specific category or categories.
example shortcode: [wpdm_all_packages login=1 thumb=1 items_per_page="20" categories="slug1,slug2,..." jstable=1 order_by="field_name" order="ASC/DESC" cols="title,file_count,download_count|categories|update_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|Update Date|Download::155px"]
More details below:
[wpdm_all_packages] – List all downloads in tabular format in a page
Let me know please for further assistance.
Regards
Tanvir
I have actually already tried the theme switch & disabling other plugins before posting here.
We just added this other page that was uploaded the same with dropbox: https://csmagentresources.com/carrier-resource-center/sc-pdf-downloads/
And they seem to be working fine with the multi-package download.
Hello Antonio Roldán Ruiz,
I have checked that, you are using the gravity forms for form lock, for the gravity form plugin, Add a hidden field and use this tag [wpdm_package_id]
as a default value, the tag will be replaced by package ID automatically when rendering a form. you can use this form tag too for indicating in the email that the admin receives for the name of the file that the client downloads. please check and let me know if it helps you.
Thank you and regards

Hi there,
I love this plugin. Thank you. But I’m running into an issue where the downloads are not showing in the “History and Stats”.
I also tried to install it on a new WordPress site and I’m having the same issue. Are there any known server tweaks that need to be made in order to get it to work? Please advise. Thanks!

Hi!
Yes, I checked that settings and it is correct. I also tried switching it on and off again to be sure.
I have made all my downloads by selecting the images to download using “select from media library”
Here is an example url: https://unstock.art/forest-walk/
Thanks!
Is there a way to change the default link template used? Iwould like to use a different template for all download links and use that one for all future downloads. I have searched the docs but can’t find anything about setting a default. Thanks!
Hello Michelle Visagie,
If you want to include the smaller thumbnail and download info and button only, you are also able to create Downloads page templates from Download > Templates > Page Templates
and make templates according to your own requirements. And for the #1 issue, I think it is coming from your theme single.php
file. please copy the single.php
file and make a clone single-wpdmpro.php
file and by removing the_post_thumbnail()
or similar thumbnail code snippet, you shall be able to remove the big thumbnail image. please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
Hi Tanvir
Just had another look at this in the CMS, and still not really making much sense.
Based on what you said – ‘Showing downloads 1 – 30 of total 5 – means there are 5 unique users downloaded at that time period’ – I’ve attached another link: https://drive.google.com/file/d/14baLs5wQF5xk3aLWmbu-FBaT5SzwQE5O/view?usp=sharing
As you can see all users are showing as Guest. How can it sort that information by 5 unique users when there is no user information stored for each download? There are also more than 5 unique IP addresses and more than 5 different document titles so can’t be sorting by those either.
This has been back and forth for a number of months. Need to get this sorted as the client is complaining.
Thanks
I know all of that. Exactly what I did but it gives different behaviors at different times.
I am talking about inconsistency here.
Here’s it:
Sometimes, downloading single files works as expected, while other times, it just downloads any file it pleases. The latter is the result in most cases.
Or sometimes, it just downloads the whole ZiP file when you choose to download a single file.
I had to temporarily disable single file downloads, now my users have to download the full ZIP file in order to mitigate such unpredictable behavior.
Hello simon khan,
Hope you are well. Can you please check this shortcode for your requirements,
