Hi,
i’m back here after testing your demo, i can’t understand how to show all the previews to non-logged in user and hide them to the logged who don’t have the permissions.
I mean the option “Block only the downloads / Hide everything” is in the general settings of the plugin so i can’t diversify for user roles.
How can i do it?
Kindly regards,
Francesco
Yes, I did look at those but this problem applies to the widget which I will be using on the homepage, not a new page that was created.
The code you posted only shows specifically selected downloads being shown in a newly created page.
I am sorry if you don’t understand what I am trying to explain to you. But it seems to be getting increasingly harder to explain something which I figured you would understand about your own plugin.
I have Pro and I have set the functionality to only allow users who have signed up with SUBSCRIBER access to be able to download the files. I have updated 4 files into the system. All four are set to use the Category of “Shareholder”.
The front end administrator roles are set to SUBSCRIBER.
When a user, logged in as a SUBSCRIBER, go the the downloads page, they see a message that says NO PACKAGE FOUND, and do not see the 4 documents available.
Generally, you can edit/clone any of your templates from Downloads > Templates
section. However, for filtering among downloads, you can check our this add-on demos, here we also provide filtering,
WPDM Directory Add-on
we also provide custom upgrade services.
please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
I see lots of options, but is there a way for the main default page to display downloads from a specific category?
I’ve searched the documentation, but can’t seem to find anything that will allow us to do this.
We are using this view: https://try.wpdownloadmanager.com/archive-page-default/
For example – if we have 6 categories, when we first view the page where the directory is on, it defaults to displaying all uploads in descending date.
We’d like to first view the page and either display nothing until you select a category, or display just a single category.
Hello Francesco,
Hope you are well. Yes, It is possible. You can restrict downloads by any role. For more details, you can check the doc here,
Package Settings
Specifically, you can also check the Allow Access option details here,
Allow Access: Access Control Option
Please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
Hello Andreas Weimann,
Hope you are well. For updating the WPDM plugin, Please simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from Downloads > Settings > License
, and then please update the plugin from the wp-admin > plugins panel
.
For saving settings again for the license key option from Downloads -> Settings -> License
, that will regenerate the access token. Thus the plugin will be updated, hope that, it will solve your issue.
If still, the problem exists then you can also manually update the plugin
Thank you and regards

Hello Daniel Téllez García,
I have come forward with the information that, you have to select user roles too for allowing upload in Dropzone from Downloads > Settings > FrontEnd Access > Author Dashboard > Allowed User Roles to Create Package From Front-end
as I image attached,

It is working properly now here, http://danielt171.sg-host.com/sample-page/.
Please check and let me know
Thank you and regards

I am wanting to create a page that is hidden on the front end of the site and only available once a user with the access as “Subscriber” logs into the site through the Download Manager login portal.
On this page, this is where we will have all protected files and documents shown and available. Again, I do not want this page available until someone logs in.
Also the ACCESS DENIED button is showing up on all 3 test files, even when logged in as a Admin or Subscriber.
I can send a Suscriber login account for testing if needed.
This is the page that shows the files that I wont to only be displayed if user is logged in.

Hello, Sorry for the confusion. If you want to block downloads for the guest, you need to remove “All Visitors” from package it self or any selected category and select the roles/plans you want to allow download from “Allow Access” option.

Hello,
All you have to do is edit the related templates from Downloads > Templates > Email Templates
Those templates are not translatable from Poedit.

Hello again,
I have checked your issue. The issue is appearing from the [wpdm_all_packages]
shortcode. I have also checked from a general page adjusting jstable=0
parameter. Thus it is working properly here, https://www.trikdis.com/wpdm-test/. It also has been checked that the issue is not appearing from all packages like the pdf file attached packages, it is coming maybe some apk file attached packages. The page you are claiming for the issue, https://www.trikdis.com/all-downloads/, I think it maybe conflicting with other scripts for jstable=1
. please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
You can check the Download
column width 100px
or other column widths from here, https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/doc/short-codes/wpdm_all_packages-list-all-downloads-in-tabular-format-in-a-page/. Thus you can adjust the container width. please check and let me know
Thank you and regards
This time after deactivating Simple SSL nothing changed. But I’ve noticed when I copy the download link manually file downloads.
I recently discovered that my site can’t connect to Amazon S3 when Elementor, WPDM Amazon S3, ElementsKit Lite, and ElementsKit Pro are active (NOTE: ElementsKit Lit is required to activate ElementsKit Pro). Under Download > Amazon S3, the buckets never load. Also, in Downloads > Settings > Cloud Storage, I just get the spinner and can’t change any settings. Not only can I not select any buckets from the backend, but when someone tries to download a file on the front end, they get the “There has been a critical error on this website” message. If I deactivate ElementsKit PRO, then I can access S3 buckets on the backend and downloads from S3 work again on the front end. In my next reply, I will provide screenshots along with admin access and the ElementsKit Pro plugin file so that you can test and troubleshoot the issue. I am running Download Manager 6.3.6 and WPDM Amazon S3 3.1.4.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Elementor, ElementsKit Lite, ElementsKit Pro, Download Manager Pro, WPDM Amazon S3 installed and activated.
2. Buckets won’t load in the backend and downloads from S3 don’t work on the front end.
3. Deactivate ElementsKit Pro and then Amazon buckets load in the backend and S3 downloads work on the front end.
I have tested with all other plugins disabled, a default WordPress theme active, and all modules and widgets disabled inside of ElementsKit Lite and Elements Kit Pro.
