Hi! Thank you for the great plugin. However, I’ve been having trouble with the download feature.
When I try to download from the download page, such as this one:The browser attempts to open the file as a text file instead, so it shows up as a super long page of meaningless text until it crashes the browser sometimes. And this is not just happening to the Chrome browser in my computer. But also any other browser used in any other computer.
EDIT: I also tried disabling all the other plugins in my site, but its still the same. However, the file downloads properly in IE, when I check the encoding of the download link, it says its a text/html content type.
Everything else is working perfectly.
Would you please help me with this?
Also, I tried purchasing the Pro version, but somehow paypal rejected the transaction. Do you have any other payment methods available?

Hi we have just done this and it has lost all our previous downloads and when we attempt to install the license key that came with the download it says its an invalid license key.

Can you please get back to me with some support for my broken plugin/site. My client is extremely upset that all their downloads are not longer available after the upgrade of the plugin. Not a single download is working and they can’t upload any new files.
I’d appreciate some help with this.

Just clicking the view link for individual files also gives an error on the resulting page:

The link to the file on the page doesn’t point to the file; it seems to point to an empty file. E.g. http://www.lothiancil.org.uk/download/summer-2014-newsletter/
Upgrading has really screwed the file downloads up. There are now now file downloads available on my clients site. I’d appreciate your help with this. Thanks.

Hello and thank you for this useful plugin.
I translated the whole .po file in Italian and put it into the “languages” folder of the plugin. Still, when I use the “all downloads” template (which is the only template I really need for my website) some of the terms are still showing in english.How do I solve this? Is there a template file to be manually edited, in order to substitute these english words with the italian correspondent?

i want to exclude category and all files of it from list of download file in wpdm-all-downloads.phpi think that the query to call the download list is “$params = array(“post_type”►”wpdmpro”,”posts_per_page”►$items,”offset”►$offset);”
How can i modify the quesy to display all files without the files that are in the category with ID=95 ?

Hi, I have version Version 3.3.8. When uploading new files – the are showing as zero length on the site and when downloaded they are empty. I purchased the Pro version – but wasn’t aware that it would expire; when I tried to login to see if upgrading would fix the issue it said my support had expired.
I had the same problem in the past and I gave you access to the admin area and you fixed the issue for me.

I did not understand but ‘I still solved the problem.
When I insert a package manually i insert the file name in the summary and when I view all the packages from the file wpdm-all-downloads.php i link the excerpt opening the pdf file in an other window.

I upgraded my install to 2.7, recreated all my categories and added some downloads. It shows the “Permalink: <PROTOCOL>://<DOMAIN>/<WP_DIRECTORY>/blog/download/<SLUG>/ Edit View File Get Shortlink”, however when I go to the URL it shows “Page not found We’re sorry, but we can’t find the page that you’re looking for. Perhaps searching will help.”
