Topic: Can't reset stats
The “clear stats data” option in Downloads -> Settings does nothing for me. Removing all rows from the DB table “wp_ahm_download_stats” clears the data in Downloads -> Stats, but each package still has views and downloads associated.
Am I missing something?
Topic: Shortcodes Not Working
I’m having some trouble with the shortcodes. I’m trying to test out the different link template and display all downloads within specific categories. I’m using this shortcode:
[wpdm_category id="184, 185, 186" operator="IN" title="1" toolbar="1" paging="1" order_by="field name" order="asc or desc" item_per_page="10" template="link-template-bsthumnail" cols=4 colspad=2 colsphone=1]
However, nothing shows up except the Order By toolbar at the top. You can view the page here: http://eomovement.org/new-library/
What am I missing? Am I doing something incorrectly with the shortcode?
I’d also love to know if there’s a way to display all downloads subdivided into categories automatically.

I see. I’m looking forward to the fix as soon as possible since I have my templates set to allow single file downloads only, not package downloads. Thank you.
I updated to version 4.7.2 earlier today. Since doing so, the public can no longer download my files from Amazon S3. I have a bucket policy to make sure that only people visiting my site can download the files (see the attached image for the error the public sees when trying to download ANY files). Even if I make the bucket fully public and remove the bucket policy, the same “Access Denied” error is shown. I’ve tried clearing the cache and it still happens.
I just tested with an older version of Download Manager Pro on my staging site and the Amazon S3 downloads work normally from the front end. So, this issue is specific to Download Manager Pro 4.7.2.

What kind of issues are you facing with the installed plugin?
And yes the latest version is compatible with the wp 4.8.3. You can download the latest version of the plugin from dashboard https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/purchases/ .
Did you put your license in the Downloads -> Settings -> License?
Go the Settings -> Updates and login to the wdmp account. Then the update can be installed.

You can change the “From address” by editing email-lock Email Template.
1 ) Go to Downloads Templates Email Templates page
2 ) Edit Email Lock Notification template
3 ) Set “From Email” and save the template.
Now all email-lock emails will be sent using this new address.

Have you modified the
wpdm-all-downloads.phptemplate or uisng a custom template for it?The sorting issue is related to the language. We fixed this in the next version which is coming today.
You just have replace

Hi team,
we have another issue after updating to the last pro version. When a new download is written with the short-code to the category, it just writes “download” with no description.

Topic: Some old fixes are back
A while back you guys did some custom work for us.
1. When a user logged out download manager, they end up back on the login page. Currently, logout takes a user to the WP login page.
2. When the user logged in, you bypassed the screen that said “You are already logged in. Go to your Dashboard.” That page is back.
3. I found a new bug. I am using User Role Editor to create custom Roles for users including alternate roles. I use the Roles to manage permissions in WPDM as to what downloads the user has access to. A user could have mulitple Roles and they would see any/all dowloads associated with each role. Originally this worked great, but now the user ONLY sees the downloads associated with their primary role. They do not see downloads associated with their alternate roles. They did a couple of months ago.

Oh, new issue regarding search…
It doesn’t appear to search tags for downloads. For example, I added a tag to several items, yet they aren’t displaying at all when searching for that specific tag. Is this normal? I found this old forum topic, and hoped that this feature would be implemented, even if it required an exact match (better than nothing).

If yes, Install Download Manager Pro ( and WP Pro membership is selling membership too ). Then Multilevel Marketing plugin will add the MLM support to the affiliate sales of downloads.

First, go to your Download Area https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/purchases/, then click ‘DOWNLOAD‘ button to see order details. You will find license key there. Check the following screenshot,https://www.evernote.com/l/AUd0JNV9gGZHsI7KTv5EERzdV2FIWsCmA2QB/image.png
Now you can put this license key in Downloads Settings License tab.

1 ) The answer is the custom link template. Clone the template you are using now from Downloads Templates page. Then remove unnecessary data/UI from the template. Then use this custom template in your shortcode.
2 ) This looks like an issue with your server’s email settings. Please try installing an SMTP plugin. Do you have any email feature on your site where email is sent successfully?

You can use category shortcode to list downloads from a category. Here is the Shortcode Doc.
Please install TinyMCE add-on to insert shortcode easily.
If you need more advanced feature take a look at Directory Add-on. It has various shortcodes to show packages with different styles. Here is the demo https://demo.wpdownloadmanager.com/wpdmpro/archive-page-default/ Check other menu items there too.

Downloads Subscribers page lists all email address collected by Email Lock feature.
You can access your users from Dashboard Users page which also let you filter users by role.

Topic: Subscribers Page
Hi,
I have a people registered on the site as Subscribers and they can access the downloads so all is working well.
However the Subscribers page in the backend is empty, from the name I was assuming this page would show me a list of accounts / subscribers.But given that its empty I’m not sure.

hey, not sure could be that my wp is out of date but my host moved my account to a different server and screwed up my dbases and i could see the plugin in my list but not listed in the menu. THEN i reinstalled it but now when i select it or any menu item under downloads i only see a page that says “Invalid post type”. Any ideas?
All uploads broken after 4.7.1 update. File not Found TXT issued on all clicks.
This is not a multisite install as others have had issues. I’ve tried the following:
Delete and replace plugin
Deleted cache
Replaced a few downloads
Disabled all other plugins.Please advise. Thanks

Okay, a bigger problem I have is also that I have multiple downloads on the same page but some are hidden by another plugin. These downloads can’t be accessed through the F12 console or similar, but if the person simply knows the permalink they can get to the download page. (I have the downloads set to be accessible only by Admin and Subscriber and all other users are subscribers). Would there be a way to hide the post pages on user by user basis or completely?
by post page I mean the page the permalink sends you to.
