When I insert an external URL using Attach File -> Insert URL the pasted link gets changed (Double Encoding?) and does not work.
All pre-existing lExternal Links still work.The problem seemed to start around version 3.2.50 or just after.
Details:
I paste in the URL part of which is:
dir=%2FTest%20MDownload%2F2022&files=Test%202022%2005%20File.pdfbut when click on the resulting Download Button I get an error (document not found). I copied the Download Button link, and found that the same part of the URL has changed to:
dir=%252FTest%2520Download%252F2022&files=Test%25202022%252005%2520File.pdfI looked it up on the web and several sites stated that the added 25 after the % is due to the URL being double encoded.
I created a new wordpress page with just a button with the same URL and it works correctly – it just does not work with Download Manager.
Version 3.2.53 stated Changelog stated that a problem with inserting an external link was fixed – so I just updated to it and got the same error.
In the “My Account” area, it shows how many downloads that user has downloaded, but I want to show how many they have left instead. How do I do that?

Hello, I recently purchased the lazy download add-on. Is there any kind of instruction on how to install it? It’s not shown up in the WordPress Download Manager Add-ons section as purchased. Can someone help me with that? I don’t want to do something wrong with my website and ruin existing downloads.

We are using wpdm pro plus advanced access control. We are using this shortcode to sho a list of all existing downloads.
[wpdm_all_packages login=1 thumb=1 items_per_page="20" categories=treiber,updates" jstable=1 order_by="field_name" order="ASC/DESC" cols="title,file_count,download_count|categories|update_date|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|Update Date|Download::155px"]
Now we want to hide all the not accessable downloads for each user, so there would only the accessable downloads show up in the list.
Is that possible?

Since updating the plugin yesterday (07/28/2022) when I upload a new PDF file to download won’t download and instead, I am met with “No file is attached with this package!”. However, all of the older uploaded PDF files still work fine. It’s just new PDF files since the update doesn’t work. The direct download link will not work either.

I was looking at your addons and I have a question.
First, my client’s Order ID# WPDM62CA1AA2547FD, I just don’t have access to his account to open tickets there.
If I purchase special package under my account for single installation right now, would that addon be included? As I said before I need to replicated Envato’s websites BUT for videos only… Client wants to have option for limited number of downloads under a membership and regular single download. Would I be able to have the addon to limit number of downloads per month? Also, do you have more extensive instructions. the docs I found are very basic, they are meant for someone that already know your plugin and I don’t know it that well, I only know the basic download manager.
Also, if I get single installation special package today, can I upgrade later at anytime?

You’ll see the ‘filter’ options > select ’Title’ and ‘Ascending’ > Apply Filter.
To achieve this I’ve had to rename all the files with a number and letter prefix – Is there a better way to do it perhaps?With this option I need to add an intro:
“To view by ‘session sequence’; please select ’Title’ and ‘Ascending’ then Apply Filter.”
– to the top of the page to explain the process – how do I add text to the page template please.NB.If this could just be ‘coded’ to display the ‘packages in order (without having to filter that would be even better)?!

I created a test package from frontend to demouser and found it is working properly.
What I think that you was not able to create because you didn’t allow administrator to create a new package from front end.
You can set that fromDownloads > Settings > Front End access > Ruoli utente consentiti per creare il pacchetto dal front-endAdmin was not added there. I added that.However, I would suggest you to check all settings carefully and try to understand how it works.

I am using WPDM Pro, and i already use the Lock-Options for some downloads…
What i’m trying to do is to copy the download-link and put it behind a image on my website. If someone clicks on the image, he / she should see the lead-form with terms & mail-lock. After filling out the form, he / she should get the download-link via mail oder should referred directly to the file (based on the setting for mail-lock).
If i only put the download-link behind the image, after clicking the image the following message occures: “You are not allowed to download”
If i use the Master Download Link, theres no lock, it directly leads to the file.Is there a solution for this problem?

Hope you are well. And sorry for the inconvenience. For updating the WPDM main plugin, Please simply click the Save Settings again for the license key option from
Downloads > Settings > License, and then please update the plugin from thewp-admin > pluginspanel. For saving settings again for the license key option fromDownloads > Settings > License, that will regenerate the access token. Thus the plugin will be updated, hope that, it will solve your issue.And for add-on updates, you can follow these steps,
1 ) Download the latest version from here https://www.wpdownloadmanager.com/user-dashboard/?udb_page=purchases
2 ) Install the latest version and activate.I hope it will work fine then. please let me know if you face such an issue

Is there a way to pull up all resources tagged by a specific access level? You can do this by categories and tags, but I’m not seeing a way to pull up all packages that are set to be viewed by “All Visitors” etc. We have packages that need access levels changed, but I see no easy way to find a list of all of the packages tagged with that access to know which ones we need to change.

2. Category access works like the below example:Package Access = Package Access + All Category Access = All Visitors + Subscribers = All Visitors
and Package Access = Package Access empty + Category Access(Subscribers) = Subscribers
or Package Access = Package Access(subscriber) + Category Access(Subscribers) = Subscribers
