Copied the format from here with the [cols=1] format inside the short code, and it worked (for the most part).
When the width of the page is between 767 and 992, the single column becomes two columns. A page width of less than 767, and a page width of greater than 992 pixels results in the desired format.
This result is the same both with and without the above CSS code.
Please use [wppm_downloadarea] shortcode to show all membership downloads to the user. It will only show the files from membership plan the user is subscribed to.
The membership downloads are listed in user dashboard too ( In Membership Items tab ). You do not need to create a separate page if you have the user dashboard page ( [wpdm_user_dashboard fav=1 flaturl=0 captcha=0] ).
Please install and check your Email problem with WP Mail SMTP plugin. Try to check the spam box, if the mail is treated as spam. And which version of the addon are you using? Please use the latest version.
Also, check the template from Downloads Templates Email Templates (email lock)
Thanks
Maybe you used custom code update in the file. After the plugin update, the file changed. So the link is disabled. For custom code update, You need to copy the file from \plugins\download-manager\tpls\wpdm-all-downloads.php and put this file into the active theme/download-manager/ wpdm-all-downloads.php, then the update will not affect the template file. More details here.
Now, After the update you can use cols="page_link,file_count,download_count|categories|update_date|download_link" with the shortcode so the page link will be desplayed with the title. So you can use page_link instead of title in the cols.
Here is my code:
[wpdm_all_packages items_per_page="50" categories="access-platforms-gangways,bus-rv,overhead-fall-protection" jstable=1 order_by="title" order="ASC" cols="title,file_count,download_count|categories|package_size|download_link" colheads="Title|Categories|File Size|Link" download_link="1"]
I don´t want to download add-ons and install it again, if they were installed before and disappear after updates, which was the case in here !? This is to my mind extremely inconvenient, because I have to remember all installed items and the user is confused and is asking me, where are the menu items to edit his downloads.
I have done a clean install of WDDP Pro and the WPDM – Custom Access Level plug in. The download plug-in (short code: [wpdm_my_downloads login=1 cols=”1″]) creates a download column that is too narrow and causes wrap around and an overlapping button (See Screenshot). How can I make the file size column more narrow and the download column larger?
Allready tried that.
Download speed is set to 4096KB/s also tried a higher speed but no performance change.
Also Resumable Downloads and Output Buffering are enabled. still low speeds.
I have created frontend upload ( create new package ) form here http://www.luxury-italian-office.com/fashion-brands/frontend-upload/
It is working without any issue. I have used frontend-upload as page slug here. You can’t use download as your page slug because it is the URL base for your packages/downloads.
Hi – I have recently installed Download Manager Free and set up 6 downloads for testing but when I view them in the download area only 3 are showing. Is there a setting I need to change as we have a number to add to this area.
Regards
Andrew Whitaker
Hi Simon, I was about to post the same issue. Even more, for me 95% of packages show the empty page.
For those that show up the link is not working. Just a plain text. I had to disable the membership and allowed all downloads for now, as it is look empty 🙁
I am no longer able to restrict access to a download file by category. This was working before but the options in wp-admin seem to have disappeared and the front-end isn’t working correctly (the package download button is showing restriction for all packages and the individual file download button is allowing downloads for all packages – see screenshot 1).
I have quite a lot of WPDM categories (screenshot 2) – one of which is called ‘Premium’. Previously I had the plugin set so that any packages using category were available to subscribers only – (I can’t remember exactly where that setting was) – but that has stopped working – maybe with the most recent update?
I’ve installed DMpro with the membership add-on, tinymice shortcode add-on and extended shortcodes add-on.
On my site I need 3 users who can only access their own assigned category.
In the membership add-on I’ve added 3 plans: beginner, advanced and refresher
I’ve created 3 members with each having access to 1 plan (so 1 beginner user, 1 advanced, 1 refresher)
In the downloads I’ve created 3 categories, one for each plan.
In each category I’ve added 1 test file.
In the download settings I’ve selected “When user is not allowed to download: Hide everything”
I’ve created a page that can only be accessed when logged in and added the following shortcode, using the tinymice creator:
[wpdm-all-packages categories="beginner,advanced,refresher," items_per_page=10]
When I visit the page as one of the members (let’s say advanced) I can see all packages that are created in the following format:
Title – Category – Date added – Download link
Only the download link for my own category is available, the rest is showing: “Subscribe – available for beginner or refresher only”
But I can still see the other package titles and icons, categories and date added
How can I change it so that only the one category for this user is showing, and the rest is completely hidden?
When I attempt to attach a file, it will show as attached, but it is gone after I save.
I have added a custom function to my functions.php file to send a Twilio text when a Downloads is saved, but that seems to be conflicting with the plugin.
My custom function uses the WP core publish_{post_type} action. Should I use a different action to ensure that the WPDM fields save properly? Or should I call something from the WPDM functions/actions to ensure they save?
I have attached a TXT file of my function, since the “code” tag isn’t a viewer friendly with the large block of code.
Some time ago you did some custom work for us on our site https://jacobi.net/
We currently have the following setup
1. Files stored on our server.
2. Our script can be run to populate the packages and package categories as well as setting template.
3. Site visitor browses categories to get to package and fills out the access request form.
4. Once access request is received we set a password and then send it out via the system.
Step 2 isn’t working too well at the moment and we need to look at it to fix it.
However our clients requirement for the online downloads library has now changed.
They want to just get an email requesting a specific file and then they will send Box links manually in response to that email.
So my question is – Can we refine steps 1/2 so that we can populate our site based on the box.com stored contents? OR do you have an import script that sets package categories based on the directories that the files are stored in?
Any help would be much appreciated, it’s been a while since this was working correctly.
On my website there is a shortcode for WPDM all downloads table and since the update i cannot click on any of the packages anymore…
It used to have a clickable title and then load the corresponding package page.
Also i lost my default icon… why can’t we set a default icon and then have an “update all button”? Right now it means i would have to go through all 200 filled in packages for 4 languages (800 packages!!) to just click update so they get the right icon…
