Front-end Category Manager

Front-end Category Manager lets your authors and site managers create and manage download categories from the front end of your WordPress site, without opening wp-admin. It adds a Categories tab to the front-end author dashboard of WordPress Download Manager, so the people who upload files can keep them organized too. It suits multi-author download sites, client file areas, and teams that run their own document libraries.

How to Use

1. Download the add-on from the premium download area, then install and activate it like any other WordPress plugin
2. Go to Downloads → Settings → Frontend Access
3. In the Frontend Category Manager panel, tick Activate category management from frontend
4. To give each user their own root category, also tick Enable User Specific Categories
5. Under Category Visibility On Package Editor, choose the categories each user role can use (leave a role empty to show all categories), then save the settings
6. Authors will find a new Categories tab in the front-end author dashboard. You can also add [wpdm_category_manager] to any page for logged-in users
